A really nice place to stay for a few days. The room was nice and clean, and staff(owners?) were lovely to deal with. We only really had one issue, the room was advertised as having "A fully equipped kitchenette" This was not the case, as some basic kitchen equipment was not in the room, you have to go and ask for it at reception. Which is a bit mickey mouse.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, We're thrilled that you you enjoyed your few days with us here and found us to be a really nice place to stay. Our apologies for the inconvenience with having to request the pots and pans; as this is part of our advanced cleaning standards. By removing the pots and pans from al; the rooms it offers our guests further reassurance that we are going above and beyond in our cleaning and santisation protocols. We appreciate that requesting the pots/pans can be an inconvenience for some guests, and perhaps we didn't display this message well enough in your welcome letter. We've made a note in your profile, and next time we'll ensure the pots and pans are placed in your room prior to your arrival. Thanks again for your lovely review and we look forward to welcoming you back again!

My second stay here, the last -a lifetime ago- in 2014. Troy -your welcoming, attentive host- has come a long way in delivering the ‘redefining casual luxury’ vision. The rooms are spruced, up to date and all the little details taken care of! The motel is across road from little manly beach- listen to the surf as you sleep. The rooms are fresh and up to date. I had a spacious double room, table chairs inside and out, couple of occasional chairs. The double bed is the old 2 twins zipped together, with expected sag mid bed. But theres robes, sounds of the surf, opening windows and fan. There’s lots of communal outdoor lounge areas, and a book exchange. My studio had a very well equipped and coordinated kitchette- bench top hob, cafetière, wooden chopping board AND fresh milk. There is also a recycling bin in room! Bathroom was new, clean fresh, with plush towels and a rain head shower. But not the strongest water pressure, but not Troys fault. Alas single use, plastic wrapped products- admittedly Forest & Bird endorsed…. I was there on a work day, and the wifi was strong and reliable. Would recommend, and may stay again - in another lifetime!

I was impressed that this motel had all the facilities of a large hotel and at the end of a very long day I enjoyed their spa bath in a studio room complete with a bath bomb - bliss. Owners are very hands on and professional. Their recommending for a restaurant meant I had a very lovely Italian meal as well. Room very clean, bed very comfortable; just a very very pleasant stay. Will definitely be back for a weekend to enjoy and relax Thanks Troy anbd Tomoko

Excellent place to stay. Troy was so warm and welcoming that we felt at home immediately. He gave us great tips on where to go walking and where to eat. Customer service really does matter here and they go the extra mile, which makes all the difference to a good holiday. The room was very clean and comfortable with good view of the ocean. A good selection of eateries is within an easy walk. We will certainly stay there again. Thanks Troy, you made a great impression 😀
