Detailed Reviews
One bedroom unit was perfect for three of us, clean and tidy, exceptionally comfortable beds, great shower and very affordable.
Hosts are so friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again.
We stopped here overnight between Hamilton and Ongarue for the Timber Trail. Great location for accessing the Timber Trail where we were picked up by Blackfern Lodge to go to the start in Pureora.

Thank you for posting feedback. We are a small motel but a thriving one with the help of returning guests and those who come to enjoy our close by locations and are looking for an active adventure.

I searched on-line for quite a while for somewhere to stay for a trip to waitomo caves. Most options in Waitomo seemed to have bad reviews and appear to have seen better days. This motel was only 10 minutes drive from the meeting point of our caving trip. The room was really up to date, recently renovated with new seeming carpet, modern bathroom and nice decor. The room was really spacious, spotlessly clean and warm. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and when we left something behind acccidently they were happy to post it back.

Nice motel close to middle of town. Very nice rooms, clean and warm with comfy beds. The main road is close, so there is some truck noise, but its also convenient for getting into town. Helpful owners, this is a good place to stop.

What a great stay! clean, tidy, warm and comfy bed. Walking distance to all shopping amenities. Our friends stay in Room 6 great family room... we had Room 12, had all we needed lived the extra blankets...only issue with the room was the closeness of the road..the trucks whizzing passed shock the room at times.
Would still stay again.

We had looked for a hotel in a prior town and struck out, but hit a home run finding Motel Te Kuiti. (We needed a stopping point before our hikes around Waitomo.) The managers were just wonderful - pleasant and very helpful, both with a delightful sense of humor. Our rooms were really clean, spacious, and affordable.

Better, more modern facilities and larger room than we were expecting. Tum & Phul (may not have been their actual names) were very friendly hosts. WiFi wasn't much, but that seems to be normal when a motel's getting full. I don't think there was a pool or gym (not listed on the motel website), so not sure why I'm having to score them. Pretty sure they had a DVD player and small DVD selection at reception (Midnight Run would have been icing on the cake). Great place to stay when visiting the birthplace of ABC's 'The Late Show' star, Andrew Denton.

We travelled 3 adults and a 18 month old from Auckland to Wellington - with a one night stay in Te Kuiti. After reading the trip advisor reviews, I emailed them for a quote and got a great price. We arrived late and they left our room unlocked.
We had a one bedroom motel unit with a kitchen. Room was very clean with enough room for us. There was a double/queen in room, with 2 singles in lounge so no couch but there was a table. Other reviews mention traffic but I didn't hear any?
BEST - Clean room, friendly owners
