Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our family of 4 stayed the night after visiting the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. It's a 10 min drive from the caves and we were very happy with the accommodation. We booked a family room and were happy to discover there was a separate room with two single beds for our kids, and a comfortable queen bed in the main living area. Everything was clean and tidy, the shower had excellent hot water pressure and both rooms had TVs with Netflix and MySky available. A nice touch was the small bowl of mini chocolates and water bottles that were complimentary. Overall we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend.

Excellent accessible facilities, quiet and spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely touches like lollies on arrival. Very close to town for dinner and a cafe just across the street for breakfast. The accessible bathroom was really large and well furnished with a pull down shower seat.

This property is a bit weird and needs some attention. Whilst the room was clean, the king size bed consisted of 2 saggy king singles pushed together, very uncomfortable. The fridge wouldn't stay closed by itself. The bathroom is like hospital bathroom and became saturated after a few minutes of running the shower. The communal kitchen, whilst well stocked, was locked at some time in the evening and inaccessible by guests. No lock out time was indicated at check in. The grounds are untidy and over grown. And finally, the room next to ours was open, had a hospital bed in it, with a patient?! A bit weird

A warm and comfortable room, with everything we needed. The manager was very friendly, let us check in early so I could join an online Zoom meeting, and checked everyone was okay during a town-wide power cut. Enjoyed our stay.

This motel is sandwiched between the main highway and the main North Island railway line. This leads to some noise but the choice of a rear unit at the rear of the complex diminished the noise. There was a rear outside balcony with some adjacent native bush. All the facilities were very clean. Bizarrely there was no sink in which to clean dishes but I am told the motel owner cleans these in a dishwasher after guests have left. A functional unit with very comfortable bed.

The check in was friendly and quick and the motel is conveniently located in town. We had a nice room with a well stocked kitchen, everything was exceptionally clean. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Te kuiti served as a good base to explore the glowworm caves and is a quick drive to restaurants / cafes in Otorohanga. Would definitely stay again

Called in at 7pm on the off chance we could get a room, no problem, room is clean & tidy, super comfy. Everything we need to rest up after a day travelling from Whanganui via New Plymouth on the motorbike. Even had chocolates & cold drinks brought to us, highly reccommend😎

Brian was a wonderful host who went out of his way to accommodate us. The room we were in was beautiful with kitchenette and lovely wet room shower too. Location was perfect for the Waitomo Glowworm Caves - could not rate highly enough!
