We had an AMAZING time at Denise and Jim’s place. The views really are spectacular and our room was extremely comfortable. The house is close to the beach (which is beautiful!) and the cute downtown area. But what really sets this place apart is Denise and Jim. They are the bests hosts you could ask for—warm, welcoming, fun. They made us feel like we were at home and cooked us wonderful breakfasts with local fruits and eggs. They invited us to a locals open night mic at a bar that was SUPER fun and we really enjoyed getting to know them. This was one of our favorite places to stay on our three week trip to New Zealand and we can’t wait to go back.

I wish we had stayed longer with Denise and Jim in that excellent B&B. Room is of course very comfortable with hundreds of delicate attentions, homemade breakfast was really delicious, the view on the bay is absolutely outstanding, but what you will enjoy most is the hospitality (should I say friendship?). Denise and Jim are both artists,you feel it from every detail of the house and have an artist mindset. New zealanders are very friendly and welcoming people, Denise and Jim are definitely NICE people

We absolutely loved our stay in the bridal suite for three nights and it was luxury from start to finish. The place was very clean and modern. We loved the bedroom, walk in closet, use of beach towels, great shower, extra entertainment room and private outdoor area. You can tell it's a labour of love for Denise and Jim which made the stay all the more enjoyable. The breakfast was restaurant quality and very decorative. Staying here far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely go back. Highly recommend! Thanks Denise and Jim! Best place to stay in Whangamata.

We had a fantastic stay here. Jim and Denise are fantastic hosts.
The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay, from wine glasses to beach towels.
We stayed in the upstairs room and our private deck had the stunning views as advertised. It was nice to read a book and drink some wine as the sun set. Very relaxing.
The breakfast here was to die for. Delicious food and many of the ingredients came fresh right from their garden.
Highly recommended and would stay again in a heartbeat!

This colorful, eclectic, artsy B&B was a real treat! The innkeepers were delightful, caring, knowledgeable & generous...never overbearing.
Breakfasts were plentiful. Dinner was delectable with fresh greens & vegetables right from their garden. When asked if you will be joining them for dinner, by all means say yes!

We enjoyed our stay with Jim and Denise so much! Their comfortable home is a wonderful base for seaside adventures. Jim kept an eye on the tides and gave us great suggestions for fun things to do. The food was amazing;most of the herbs, veggies and fruit coming from their garden. The linens were first rate and the towels were huge and plush. Do a dinner at their house. It is better than what you get at any restaurant!

Everyone else mentions the views - because they really are splendid. Jim and Denise will make you feel at home and are a great source of local information. Breakfast was lovely. A very convenient location for Coromandel and places further south. They may be moving so get in while you still can!

The best Bed and Breakfast we have been to in North Island. The hosts are so kind and friendly, it made it more comfortable. We felt totally at home. A very nourishing, well presented breakfast, freshly cooked set us up for the day. Highly recommend it.

You will never find a B&B that is managed with so much friendliness, love and care! Denise and Jim are the most amazing hosts, always helpful, friendly, looking after you in every special way. The breakfasts are a delight , so are the dinners if you opt for one and you should! Denise is the most fabulous cook and Jim does a great job too! If you get to know them, you will return there every time you go to the wonderful Coromandel as you walk out as a friend. Denise and Jim make your stay truly unique!
