Stayed 3 nights for Kickdown motorcycle rally. Hosts Ralph and Clare were the best hosts we have ever experienced, they went out of their way to ensure a perfect stay, provided motorbike cleaning items, a place to park the Harley out of the weather, and even offered to transport us to the various rally venues. The room was large, exceptionally clean and well appointed, with a lovely private deck complete with 2 deck chairs and sun umbrella. There was a beautiful pool and spa pool area which was most welcomed in the heat of the day. There are only 2 units and the main house at this facility so there is plenty of parking, privacy and personal attention. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Clare made me feel very welcome, ensuring I had everything I needed. The studio was immaculate, with a lovely little deck outside. There are two studios, back to back with an interconnecting door if needed. There’s a BBQ for guests to use too and Clare ensured I had utensils for it. But it was the pool area that really exceeded expectations and I was lucky enough to have the place to myself. It was beautiful. The hot tub was great too, but as the weather was so hot I preferred the cooler pool! They also have a couple of bikes available to borrow for free. I highly recommend this place! Just a few things to note - when driving into Whangamata from the south, the driveway is on the right hand side, just after the 70km sign and on the bend - there is a little sign but it’s a bit hard to see. Clare said they usually have a flag up outside but someone had taken it! I also made the mistake of assuming the kitchenette had a stove so had to change my cooking plans - it just has a microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster. Plus the gas BBQ of course! Not a problem, but just thought I’d flag up. Thank you Clare for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 friends, our hosts were very accommodating and we were able to have all 3 of us stay. We used the bbq to make our meals which was delightful to have hot meals each night. The rooms were nicely decorated and so clean and comfortable, after a days walking it was bliss to return here after a day of hiking and the spa pool was a godsend, the pool was lovely but we couldn’t drag ourselves out of the spa tub. You have access to Netflix no sky, it was a nice way to end the evening or to sit outside on the deck and watch stars. I would highly recommend this place to stay and I would love to stay here again if I’m in this area again.

Great facilities. we went with friends for a wedding and hired out both rooms. Very clean and tidy, modern and peaceful. Hosts were great and transported us to the wedding and home again which was very helpful! Apologies for inadvertently packing the remote. (My husband, not me) I hope it arrived back safely. Really sorry about the inconvenience

Amazing Kiwi Lodge is situated just outside the township offering very quiet nights yet close enough to enjoy the local area. The pool and spa is amazing and the setting really makes you feel like your in your very own resort. The hosts, Daryl and Lynette are great are brilliant, very friendly and made you feel right at home from the start. They have a wealth of knowledge of the area and are always happy to help with recommending great things to see and do. The rooms a very clean, tidy and up to date, you really couldn't ask for more.
Thank you so much for an amazing stay, we will be back again for sure.
