Detailed Reviews
This place is outstanding. We stayed in the Queen Suite, beautifully decorated, looking out on a lovely garden, and just a few steps to a superb spa pool. The interior design is mid-century modern with an emphasis on contemporary interpretation and quality. The kitchenette had all you needed for breakfast, plenty of cutlery and crockery, coffee maker, microwave etc. (and a BBQ). But curiously there was no sink for washing up. I suspect the suite is designed for people staying one night only. When we next stay, and we definitely will, we will stay in one of the two suites, No.1 is a perfectly formed apartment and is the top choice. Outstanding value for money.

Spent 3 nights (recommend more), the lodges are very well appointed, spotlessly clean and stylish. Ade and Jenny are great hosts with a wealth of information and hints about the various activities you can do. The only drawback is the small choice of restaurants in Whangamata, try for Incognito but they are fully booked much of the time so phone days ahead. If you want a chilled relaxed stay this is the place for you. Only 3-5 minute drive gets you to a stunning beach and you can borrow chairs/sun shade/body board at no charge, as the sun is very strong do take the sun shade if nothing else. Have a great time - we did!!

Beautiful accommodation set in lovely gardens. It is located within walking distance from the estuary. We enjoyed the hot tub outside and admired the gardens. The hosts, Ade and Jenny, are lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again!

We were so lucky to stay in such beautiful accomodation. Our deluxe apartment was perfect, we wanted to move in. 😊 The decor was perfect, inviting and beautifully presented, even down to the Himalayan salt lamp. Our hosts were super friendly, helpful, funny and genuinely lovely people, down to earth kiwis. If your ever looking for a getaway, with tranquil gardens, inviting spa and superb rooms, then this is the place to be. We will certainly be back. Thank you

Great place to stay - this was the second time we have stayed there and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent amenities - fantastic couple who run and own it. Made to feel very welcome and 'special' from the time you arrive.
Off the main areas so very quiet, close to the beach and excellent walks.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Toni and I stayed a night at short notice. Everything was Super-immaculate. Coupled with a great price, what more could you want? Comfortable furnishings and plush bed. And I haven't even started on the outside landscaping. You cannot go wrong if you're considering a stay. Thank you - Darrin.

We had originally booked a motel in Pauanui but the roads were blocked so we decided to stay in Whangamata.
I am so glad we stumbled across this place on TripAdvisor. The hosts were lovely, welcoming and friendly. They gave us a few recommendations on what to do and where to eat in Whangamata. The lodge is beautiful! It’s tucked up a long driveway, as you drive in, the greenery, gardens and ponds are tranquil. The room was beautiful, warm and clean! The bathtub was big enough to fit two people. The spa was surrounded by beautiful plants and had beautiful lights. They gave us plastic cups for our drinks for the spa and a torch incase we wanted to have a spa at night.
They’ve really thought of everything! I’d highly recommend that everyone stops here on your travels. You won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely go back 😊.

The owners were very friendly and efficient. The unit we staying in was spacious, quiet, modern and clean.
We walked just around the corner and had the choice of either estuary or beach.
We had a very pleasant walk into town for a function, easy flat walking only 20mins away.
The only thing missing was air conditioning.
