Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love the location, camping with lots of friends in an awesome unpowered area (3rd time here and we will be back for sure!) . Great with or without kids, animals, lovely clean facilities, had everything we needed and heaps of space. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Spa was wonderful, and the bush surroundings simply beautiful.

Nice area, pools are great and really decent size. Clean facility. Lovely stream around camp and lovely grounds. Kids loved the pools. Staff really friendly and make the stay great. Anything you need they are there to help. Will definitely go back to this camp site . Best pools that I’ve ever found at a campground. Thanks for the exceptional service of all staff .

Such a beautiful place to stay. I honestly dont know how I missed this over the years. Picturesque, quiet, birdlife, streams, waterholes, mineral pools, clean, lovely staff....I cant say enough good things about this place. Great for families, for the romantics and for those who want a quiet getaway. The accomodation we had was spotless. All we heard in the mornings was the birds and the stream running by. The staff were lovely and very accomodating. I highly recommend for anyone of any age...ten out of ten for sure!!

Helpful and friendly staff Older campsite but everything from the grounds to the kitchen, bathrooms and mineral thermal pools were immaculate Lovely walk to the pools, river for the kids to play in or cool off, a 2km bush walk around the back of the campgrounds. Noise was restricted after 10pm and well inforced. Close to katikati for supplies, wahi beach 30min drive, mount mauganui 40min drive. Tuahu walking tracks 2.8k walk or run away if you want to do more exploring Reception shop with icecreams snacks and ice Wifi available but drops in an out from time to time We had an amazing time thanks Sapphire Springs

Our last stay started 8th March, 2023. We caught up with friends there, swam/bobbed about in the pools until owner asked us to get out because a parent had not put proper swim wear on their child who had "pooped" in the children's tiny pool which then went into the next pool!!!, the one we were in. Totally gross. We had to get out and the pools were emptied and refilled. Parents of small kids: PUT proper diapers on your children instead of ruining other people's experiences! Perhaps new management could make this a hard and fast rule - NO proper swimwear, NO children.

Despite the campsite being old, the facilities were all clean and well maintained. The grounds were amazing and pools sparkling clean! The staff topped it all off! If you are in the fence about this campsite, take the leap and book. If wanting a power site, number 19 is your spot!

This camp is a hidden gem. Could not fault it. Well kept grounds, spotless kitchen communal lounge, toilets all very clean and tidy. The showers are a token from the office or a $2.00 coin - long, hot and amazing pressure. The pool area is well cared for - the hot tubs are perfect temperature. The beds were very comfortable (in the lodge). Office staff could not be more helpful. The only comment (which is nothing to do with the camp) is the internet is very flaky so you may have to wander around the camp to get reception. Our group had a wonderful time in the lodge - thank you Sapphire Springs.
