Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A few hundred meters from the motorway exit. External parking. Clean hotel. Decent room. Small but clean bathroom. Average sleep quality. Mediocre breakfast. Good value for money (78 euros for a double room with breakfast included). To be taken into consideration to break up a journey along the A1 motorway.

Excellent structure surrounded by greenery with spacious and well-furnished rooms, with all comforts, excellent cleanliness and very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Very convenient free parking outside. Location well connected to the main roads and very close to the motorway. Bars and clubs within walking distance and several restaurants and pizzerias nearby. To return.

I was travelling from North of Italy to South with my family in a period of intense traffic for Easter holidays and wanted to make a break half way. We choose this hotel because is 3 minutes from the exit "Valdarno" on A1 italian highway just 40 minutes after Florence in the South direction. We asked for a triple room. The hotel is comfortable, quiet and clean. Even with a fitness area. Parking is free, large and just in front the hotel. Breakfast is not that various but it fits perfectly the minimal needs of a family in transit. The price is absolutely super convenient (we had a triple for less than 80 euros). They accept cards and American Express also is welcome. No need for pre-payment. Personnel is gentle and kind.

We used this hotel as a stopover location going to the South of Italy. I only can confirm cleanliness of the rooms, the silence despite the traffic on the road in front of the hotel, the variety in the breakfast buffet, etc.
There's not much going on around the hotel: there's a bar and pizzeria/restaurant in walking distance. But, what else do you need when stopping on 1500 miles trip?

Our first experience was so good that, although I had booked a hotel for my return, I canceled that one and stayed at hotel Michelangelo again. Hotel manager exceeded our expectations by lowering the room rate (we were 4 staying in a 5 bed room) after our check in.

Maybe one minor note to make: pillows in the beds were a bit thin. We didn't ask for other pillows, so I don't know whether we would have had the option, but, on the other hand, this ain't Sheraton, Hilton or the likes.

As were frequent travellers by car to Italy, Hotel Michelangelo will be kept on my shortlist!

After endless road travel, decided to pull off the highway and give this hotel a try. Glad we did. Service was prompt & courteous. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Internet worked! Breakfast was fresh and had a good variety of items. Location is off the beaten path, but found some decent outlet shopping in the area with fair prices and many items that were made in Italy.

Great hotel who put me up quite happily with no notice. Wifi was free, room was comfortable and quiet. Located near to the autostrada it was far enough away to not be heard from my room. Breakfast was pleasant. Parking was brilliant for me. There are also a couple of bars/restaurants just a short walk up the road. Helpful and cheery staff, clean facilities and generally all round ideal.

Stay here for one night as member of a tour group. They gave bad information to our group leader about the closing time of the mall close by and then argue that they gave the correct information. Room was OK with no air conditioning. Little dinner close by. We went to a Japanese buffet down the street and it was excellent. 24 Euro only, Good food and service. Ask the front desk about the place. It requires reservation, but you can try getting in after 9PM.

Good single room with good lighting and airco although switched off in November leaving the room too hot to get a good night sleep. I couldn't open the window because of traffic noise even at 03:00 am. Room was clean and tidy with a small tv which connectd via HDMI cable to PC. It has a fridge. Breakfast was good and started at 07:00 am for an early start.

Fantastic! We were so happy to stay here after a bad experience in Florence. Best value for money in our 5 weeks travelling throughout Northern Italy. Clean and comfortable, easy parking. My only suggestion would be fruit salad and yogurt a nice touch for breakfast.
