This hotel was the worst experience of my life! Do not stay here! They lie about shuttle service, wifi and recommend restaurants that rip off the customer. I was travelling with my husband over the past month and he returned home on October 10, while I continued my travels for another 5 weeks. After experiencing Rome for the prior 4 nights, I felt that due to rather the unreliable nature of travel in Rome since my plane was departing early, I would book a hotel close to the airport with a shuttle service. I chose to book at Euro House Inn Airport Hotel & Residence, Fiumicino, ITALY because advertising indicated it as having a shuttle. This is a Hilton/Hampton Inn & Suites chain hotel. I wrote down the manager's name on the business card I picked up at the hotel, Fabiola Cianfrocca. I had communicated with the hotel and was informed that there would be a pick up location at the airport for 1400 which worked well with my arrival. However, I was shocked to find out otherwise that airport transfer for a single person was 20 Euros and my early morning transfer would be 30 Euros. This information was relayed to me after I was already en-route to hotel. When I arrived at the designated pick up location and waited for 20 minutes, there was no shuttle. Upon phoning the Euro House reception, they informed me that the driver had an emergency and there would be no shuttle. I was stranded and alone with big luggage pieces at the airport and was informed that I would have to take a taxi! I asked about bus service and he emailed me the information about this option. I walked the length of the airport and had to ask five people about the local public transportation before finding the bus stop. It is obvious that the Romans do not want to encourage use of the public transportation. I finally boarded the bus, which cost 1 Euro. I sat behind the driver because he kindly offered assistance to make sure I got off at the correct bus stop. My big suitcase partially obstructed the aisle. Part way along the journey and blonde woman got on and rudely elbowed her way to the window seat next to me without any civilities. The bus behind me was more than half empty. It seemed very peculiar that she insisted on climbing over top of me and jabbing me with her elbows. It was obvious I was a tourist. The stop before I got off she once again rudely pushed over me to get off. It was all a very strange experience and I just took note but did not think again about it. I got to the hotel and the gentleman at the desk was the one who had communicated with me earlier and was the only pleasant experience I had. He seemed apologetic but stated that they do not really have a shuttle service. They have a driver in a private car that they hire only as required. He informed me that he would see what he could do about my early morning transportation to the airport, but he was going off duty and the evening shift was coming on shortly. It was quite a shock when the evening shift personnel came in the door and it was the extremely rude blonde woman on the bus! She took me to my room and showed me the information I needed to know. I had a very strange feeling of coincidence about the experience I had on the bus, but I brushed it aside at that moment. Once I had settled in the room, I went down to the reception to ask a variety of questions, i.e. restaurants in the area, coffee shop, etc… She strongly recommended one particular restaurant. I asked her once again about a shuttle to the airport. I informed her that the main reason I chose the hotel was the proximity to the airport and the advertised shuttle service. She said that because of the early departure, the ride would be 30 Euros and she could not offer anything else because they do not have a shuttle service. I was distraught that the cost was so high. I could have stayed in Rome and paid for a taxi for less cost and aggravation. I had wasted an entire day moving out to the airport. I asked her about public bus transportation around the time 0530-0600, and she looked it up but would not give me specific enough information for me to be confident at that time in the morning. It would be dark and had been raining. I could not look up such information because of the language barrier. As I was standing at the reception area a couple walked in and started loudly raving about the service this employee had given them, to the point where it was over the top. They seemed friendly and I spoke with them about their plans for getting to the airport hoping we could possibly collaborate. Their plane was supposedly leaving later so they were taking the bus. He offered to pick up a bus ticket for me when he purchased theirs. I accepted this offer because I did not know the area and logistics. I told them where I was going for dinner and they said they might join me eventually. This interaction was rather surreal, but I was travelling alone and starting to feel very vulnerable since the hotel receptionist was so unhelpful. I went to the highly recommended seafood restaurant, La Fraschetta del Mare. Well this was a very strange experience indeed. I had asked for a table for three expecting the hotel guests I had met in the lobby, but they never showed. The server spoke no English and put items on my bill that I did not order. I had pointed to what I wanted because she didn't understand a word of English. The bill came to over 25 Euros ($40 CDN equivalent) when what I had ordered should have come out to 15 Euros. I tried to explain this to the server but she just ranted in Italian. I finally just put 25 Euros on the table and left without taking the food she had ordered without my authorization. I went back to the hotel a spoke with the blond woman about how the restaurant she recommended had treated me and she seemed unsympathetic. At this time strangely enough, the couple mentioned earlier showed up, once again ranting about how wonderful this staff member was, to excess. They saw me and gave me the bus ticket they obtained for me, but refused payment of 1 Euro. Later back in my room, I inspected the ticket and found it to be a used ticket! I had feelings of a nightmare and thoughts of Mafia movies reeled in my head. I felt alone, vulnerable, scared, and worried about getting to the airport for 0600 the next day. There was nobody to help me. I saw that there was a big national chain hotel a short walk away called, Golden Tulip. I had a brainstorm to walk over and see if they had a shuttle service. It turned out that I could use their service for 6 Euros regardless of the fact I was not a hotel guest. I booked this shuttle for 0600 and was greatly relieved, although still anxious whether I can trust Roman customer service. It was getting late and I still needed to finish my on-line check in. At approximately 2200 I was back in my room to do this and found the Wi-Fi was not working. I went down to the reception area and it still did not work. The blonde woman was still there until 2300 and refused to do anything about it. I suggested unplugging and rebooting the Wi-Fi and she refused. She just ignored me, but I requested that she call a manager and she would not. The night shift employee came on at 2300. I had been standing there for 30 - 40 minutes and she suggested I go on her reception computer for on-line check-in. I refused because that would give her privy to all my credit information. I had a sick feeling that this entire situation appeared contrived. I did not feel it safe to put my personal information on the reception computer. After the night duty receptionist arrived, he managed to fix the Wifi for as long as it took me to check-in. Then mysteriously it stopped working again. By this time, it was 2330 and I was exhausted and having huge anxiety. I had to be awake at 0400 to get ready and make my way to the Golden Tulip Hotel. I could not sleep all night because I was scared, anxious, my chest and stomach felt on fire. There was no one to trust in this Hotel. At 0400, I was up, went to the Golden Tulip reception by 0500, and sat there to wait for the shuttle. They were surprised to see me so early, so I told the receptionist there that I could not sleep because I did not feel safe at the hotel where I stayed. They were kind and told me to make myself comfortable in the expansive lobby. The Golden Tulip shuttle was prompt, courteous, and got me to the airport in plenty of time! Once in the beautiful Rome airport, I realized just how stressed I had been since I left downtown Rome! In conclusion, I do not feel that the solo, retired, female traveler deserves such treatment. I truly felt unsafe, scared, and vulnerable and like I was living a nightmare.

Very close to Fuimicino airport. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, suite was very cozy and clean. Bed very comfortable. Price was excellent value for the size of suite, which had kitchenette, living room and bedroom with large balcony.

I transit through Rome but had a day; arriving very late ( midnight). This was the perfect hotel for a quick check in; good nights rest, sufficient breakfast. Cost effective, excellent service and good location. A short walk down the road (250 meters) and I could hop on a free shuttle taking me to Parco Leonardo. Shopping mall where the locals shop and great bargains. Stored my luggage at hotel while exploring the town. Another 20minute walk gets you to the beach. Taxi took 10 mins to get me back to the airport

We stayed in this hotel for a night with a family during first week of June, 2018. Two adults and a teenager and a 3 years old toddler. While booking, at some booking websites, there were options that up to two kids stay free with price ~70 to 80USD for this hotel. But, I forgot to add kids in the search, but added that information in the special instructions while booking. But, when I reach there, they charged for kids and cost went almost doubled. i.e. ~$135+ 6700 AA miles. It is very high for this hotel. It is first time in my experience that they would charge even for toddler. Technically, we used this hotel just to stay for a night. We reached the hotel ~9:30AM. Kept the luggages in the room and went to city. Then, came back ~10:30PM and left the hotel by 3:30AM in the morning to catch the flight at 6:30AM. Even though we mentioned about our schedule, the hotel management was very particular in getting as much money as possible out of us.

We had an early departure from the airport and this seemed be be convenient. The staff arranged a shuttle to a local restaurant near the waterfront and we had a wonderful meal and a great time. The room was clean and parking was free. WiFi was very poor and non-existent in the bathroom. There was a gap under the shower door and we ended up with a flood in the bathroom that ran into the bedroom. Clothes got soaking wet which was not great for packing the next morning. Explained why they gave us so many extra towels. There was no lock on the exterior doors so anyone could walk in and wander the hallway. Also, the power/lights all required the room card to be inserted. We only had one card so someone had to sit in the dark or make sure they were available to let them in if the other had to run out to do something. We had a ground floor room so there was more street noise than I had anticipated. This was just a very odd set up for a hotel.

Local taxis a bit shonky from airport but ended paying 20E, great breakfast and good staff were helpful to find way to time next morning by local bus to airport and direct train to Rome terminal. Great value for money if you are not precious, clean, affordable and good brekky

I recently booked a room at Hotel Euro House Inn on May 8, 2018. The room really wasn't bad BUT don't expect air conditioning. They do have a thermostat but the hotel controls the air conditioning. I was told that they don't turn it in on during that time of the year. It was a beautiful sunny day. We opened the windows and sliding glass door which did not have screening, the room was then filled with flies. Also don't expect to watch any television programming in english, the t.v was programmed that you could not change the language. I didn't mind the television situation but when you rent a room you should be able to control the room temperature. Based on this alone I would not rent a room at this location again. The hotel is in close proximity to other buildings therefor it can get noisy from barking dogs. I booked the room one day earlier than needed, when my son and I arrived at the airport I called the hotel and asked did they provide transportation (around 07:30 AM), I was told that they did not have transportation because their vehicle was being used to take customers to the airport which did not make a lot of sense because the same vehicle could have taken us back to the hotel. Also there was mold in the bathroom shower and soap was not provided. Also they charged us 15 euros to take us to the airport when we checked out. Most hotels in close proximity to an airport provide this service for free.
