The hotel itself is right near the beach which is lovely, the pool area is really nice and the newer rooms are lovely. However upon arrival we were put into standard rooms in the older building which to be honest were awful and for the amount of money we paid i was not happy. Thankfully as returning guests from a sister hotel we were upgraded free of charge. I did notice there were lot's of newer rooms available so was confused as to why you would put people into the old rooms when the hotel was nearly empty. Anyway, the location is brilliant, if you look over the road and walk left there is a beach bar which you can rent sun loungers for the day it is worth doing very comfy! Being honest the food here was awful and the drinks tasted like sea water but when i pointed this out to the staff they didn't think there was an issue. I have stayed at this hotel's sister hotel and never had a problem with the food or drink and was disappointed to find that Kalia beach has poorer quality. However if you eat in Zorbas linked to the hotel the food is lovely and plenty of restaurants nearby. I have to say the staff here are wonderful no complaints just a shame there isn't a self catering option because i would definitely return but eat out every night.

We are here at the moment, we emailed ahead and asked for a high floor and sea view. We have an amazing room on the third floor (only 2 rooms on this level)and a fantastic view of the sea. It was explained at check in that you needed to request your room to be cleaned by 8PM the day before. Having read previous reviews we were a bit dubious but we are having an amazing time. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The pool is great, fabulous location and very nice food. Plenty of drink choices on the all inclusive offer but you have the option to purchase more elaborate drinks or food if you wish. I would recommend it and dont understand the bad reviews. Treat people as you wish to be treated and you will have a great holiday.

People there were nice, except one receptionist, it was great that Kalia is small hotel so its friendly place. And thats all. We had american and german cockroaches in the room - they promised to clean the room early and no… they cleaned it like always. Food is always the same. One day you have fish sticks for lunch, then nugetts and so on. Beetroot was served bad for two days- they put garlic in it to cover it up. Drinks were watered down- you know it, when you want Orange soda and you get water instead 🤣

Fantastic hotel, right on Kalia beach. The rooms are clean and modern with the towels changed, and room cleaned and tidied every day except Sundays. The hotel is set out like a western compound in the Middle East with palm trees, grassy areas and gardens. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The all inclusive package includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and all drinks, including alcoholic. The food is very varied and plentiful and they keep refilling the trays so there is no need to rush to eat, although some people will be queue jumping and pushing in front of you. There is live music at dinner every evening by a very talented musician named Antonio, we bought a cd of his music from him to bring home with us. If you are lucky, you can get a table outside and watch the sun set and the world pass by. The a la carte restaurant across the road right next to the water is also part of the hotel and offers traditional Greek meals for a special treat, on the night of our arrival at around 11pm when they were supposed to close, they stayed and cooked us food and did not rush us at all. The pool is warm and clean, the whole pool area was cleaned and mopped every morning and there was no mad rush to reserve a sun lounger with a towel that you see at other hotels. It is just a short walk from many small supermarkets and the shopping area of Gouves and a very pleasant and safe area to stroll in the evening after dinner. We felt bad one day when we were getting impatient at breakfast as they were a bit late opening and we have two young children who needed breakfast and we needed to be at the bus stop for an excursion, but found out later that it was Dekapentavgoustos - a special day in the Greek holy calendar, and they were having to work although we did apologise in the evening to them. A nice touch would be to put a kettle in the room so we can make our own hot drinks as and when we choose although you can help yourself to hot drinks, cold fizzy drinks and wine/beer in the restaurant, and there is a free bar by the pool open all day but with young children sometimes it is nice to have a drink in your room. Another nice touch would be a note on a notice board of which saints day it is so we can also show our respect to their religious days .

Stayed here from the end of July for a weeks with my son and partner. This was not our choice of hotel, but due to Covid 19 our original hotel was cancelled a matter of days before departure and this was offered as a replacement. After reading the reviews we were not too enthusiastic but had little choice but to accept.
The only reason i have given two stars is the fact that the refurbished rooms are nice (albeit quite small) with comfortable beds and a small balcony.
We arrived late and were told that the all inclusive had stopped but we could purchase food from the restaurant and also due to Covid 19 the mini bar in the room would not be stocked but again we could purchase water from reception for a special price (twice the supermarket cost). No information was given for eating times or what was available or not and we were shown to our room.
The food on offer in the morning was awful the choice was terrible, under cooked ham dripping in grease or an egg. there was a salad bar that served fresh produce and cheese. Due to the circumstances all drinks, juice coffee had to be made for you and with one server this was usually long after breakfast was finished.
This was the theme for all meal times the choice was extremely poor a maximum of 3 dishes to choose from at times the servers couldn't even explain what was in them most dishes tried, they were inedible. on one occasion all my son could eat was two chicken legs, meaning we had to eat out every day and night on an all inclusive holiday.
The lack of food could be put down to Covid 19 restrictions, if it wasn't for the fact that the same kitchen and restaurant served a huge a la carte menu if so wished to pay for it ( a bit of a scam if you ask me).
The drink at the bar were from 11:00 to 22:00 which changed to 11:00 to 19:00 not that anything being served was drinkable anyway. the beer was awful, wine undrinkable and the spirits tasted of nothing. served in pink reusable plastic cups (how these can possibly be cleaned well enough to combat Covid spread i will never know.
On our last day i woke to a no electricity or water. When i went to the reception to say we needed to extend the room as we had to shower and charge our phone for leaving the told me it wasn't there fault and they could give an extra half hour, to be out the room for 11:30. Disgrace!
it it wasn't for the great cafe and restaurants nearby our holiday would have been ruined.

Having not even booked this hotel ourselves (the original one has closed for the window so got sent here) on arrival at night was told we could get drinks from the bar as we were all inclusive, get to the bar and find out you have to pay from 1030pm, what a joke even water as you can’t even drink the tap water.
The room was pleasant no kettle no air con this is an additional cost (never had that in my life)
No soaps or shower gels always got supplied this when booking hotels.
Let’s move on to the food, I have never seen so much rubbish been served up.. breakfast was literally toast unless you liked all this processed food.
Coffee was horrid and no word of a lie the button smelt and tasted of sick we even checked the expiry date and tried it a different day.
It’s the same old meals daily, you can have anything if you come off the street and pay but us as paying guest get the basic of food.
Each day was like Groundhog Day same food tasted bland. In the end we ate out a lot as it was much nicer.
The last day we stayed by the pool and you could only get ice cream or snacks from 3-530. This was 3 tubs of ice cream a tub of cones and a scoop to do it yourself! The snacks well 2/3 things left each day not very good for an all inclusive restaurant.
Asked a member of staff about day trips said you will when to come back and ask at 7am and the trip we wanted to go on left at 640 so missed that and the etc day we were going home…
Not worth the money and certainly not what I call all inclusive ………

Fantastic hotel, we had a great time. Rooms are spotless, cleaned every day as well as all of the public areas which are also spotless. The staff are so friendly and helpful, can't do enough for you. Food and drinks were really good, always lots of choice and fresh. Would highly recommend anyone to come here.

With regret we did not enjoy our stay at the Kalia Beach hotel.
The hotel was refurbished to a good standard and had ok facilities but not what I would regard as 4 star, for instance, you get a kettle in a travelodge but not in this 4 star hotel, so don’t be miss lead by the rating, 3 star tops. The bedrooms were comfortable and the en site shower rooms were good and so was the maid service who popped in everyday.
The staff at the hotel were nice and friendly for the most part.
The downside to the hotel was the food and drink which was poor to say the least, the food just did not hit the spot even those we had been told it was fresh, in our opinion, was re cycled on many occasions and was not cooked for quality, more to cater for mass numbers on a budget.
There was no taste control or change in the menu and the bar service was not friendly just what do you want and again no quality in the drink you got, plus it was all cheap alternatives which made for a poor drink. Such a shame as this was a holiday that we had to wait 20 years to do. Would never go back and I would think carefully before choosing the all inclusive option for this hotel as we had to eat out most lunches and every evening to enjoy our holiday which costs us money we did not have, but had to do to enjoy our time away.
This could be a good hotel with changes to the service and quality which I am not sure will happen.
I did ask for a feedback form, but they did not have one!! Says a lot about the care of the owners.
This only got a 2 start review because of some of the staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, the staff were all amazing, so friendly and welcoming any questions or help and they were on it. Buffet was so nice, always somthing for everyone, the lady doing the breakfasts and lunch she was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I can't wait to go back. We was moved to this hotel due to the hotel we stayed in was just vile.. however when arriving the hotel staff was lovely throughout our stay they were amazing! Could not have asked for a better end to a bad holiday experience the hotel staff were chilled and seemed very happy in there jobs they were friendly and always had time to ask how you were doing and greet you everytime they seen you. The food was good always freshly grilled chicken and pork chops the salad bar was good too! The pool was very clean and everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. The room! Had a massive balcony and a memory foam bed which just Hugged your body perfectly the shower was very good. Overall this hotel is definitely worth a visit it’s beautiful with genuinely lovely staff that are very attentive. The bar man likes to entertain by singing and dancing and having a laugh but can be quite rude when stressed with lots of orders.

Hi, unfortunately not though we did go in May half term it may be different in the height of summer. We spent a few hours on an evening around the pool bar (which is nice) and usually went for a walk into Gouves town. This is only a short distance away....
