Loved self contained accommodation. We had private entrance and were separate from hosts and other guests..wonderful! Accommodation had everything for self catering and nicely appointed.Myra was a great host and the many little extras provided were lovely.Continental breakfast could be eaten in our unit or with the host...great choice to just relax privately. It was nice to sit by lake at end of day with some cheese and something to drink. The accommodation is not within walking distance to town but as we had a car that wasn't a problem

The premises were beautifully kept , Breakfast was lovely , we stayed here for three days and we hope to be back We also visited White Island ,saw dolphins on this trip if you go on this day out best to take water & food as lunch can be served as late as 3-30pm The town had plenty of shops & gift shops

Myra was an excellent hostess and the B & B was spotless, roomy and the breakfasts were delicious. It is slightly out of town located on a very picturesque lake with wild birds in abundance. Would recommend this very highly

Well, having spent a nightmare 3 days in a shack - no kidding (but another story) anything would have been good but the BandB by the Lake was paradise. The house could have come out of the TV series Grand Designs! Not only this, but Myra could not do enough to help you. The accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen, off street parking and very close to the town and the White Island leaving point. We had a wonderful, wonderful three nights here and would highly recommend both the location and accommodation. Please note after our previous experience do check (as Myra told us) that any B&B has approval by the New Zealand B&B Association.
