Detailed Reviews
Clean motel with all the in-room amenities required including kitchenware (toaster/pots, etc), milk in fridge, Sky tv (incl movie channel), free wifi, A/C, fresh linen including triple sheeting (vs old comforters), parking. Spacious unit we were in, parking right out front. Also impressed they have opted for eco-friendly bathroom products (shampoo, soap) that are not in plastic bottles. Location is where all the other motels seem to be. We drove into town for dinner, might be a bit ambitious to walk. Would book again.

It's a fairly standard New Zealand style motel. Rooms are a good size, the amenities including air con, Sky TV, smart TV and internet are all well thought out and functional. Location is okay without being brilliant - everything you'd want to see/do is a short drive away.
What impressed me most about this motel was the cleanliness - it was easily the cleanest motel I have ever stayed in in NZ. For this reason alone I'd have no hesitation on coming back.

First time visit and it definitely won't be the last. Friendly welcome at the office. The room - Executive Spa Studio was clean and spacious. Large, clean bathroom with spa bath and separate shower and white towels. Comfortable bed with white crisp sheets. Lovely surrounds.

Super awesome staff, units super lovely and clean. The place lovely and quiet considering on a main road. They had no problems with me asking not to do housekeeping everyday.would have no problems with recommending and would be my choice if I came back to Whakatane again.

Loved this motel. Made to feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. Room was large and well kitted out, large bathroom and comfy bed. Spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay there. The motel is on a busy road but the room was quiet. Would highly recommend this as a top place to stay in Whakatane.

After travelling around the North Island for 7 days, this place was one of our favourites.
The owner, Wayne was very friendly and helpful for advice on where to visit around the Bay Of Plenty area and up the East Cape.
We stayed in a one bedroom unit costing $170.00 per night which was an absolute bargain for peek January/school holidays season.
The unit was clean and very spacious. The Air Con was lovely over that very hot period.
The bathroom was huge with a spa bath.
We all had a great sleep at this wonderful place.
I would highly recommed Pacific Coast Motor Lodge to anyone.
Thank you very much.
