Apartment was well equipped with everything. Spotlessly clean and beds were super comfy. Lovely verandah overlooking the water where we enjoyed all day sun. Very easy to book, check in and Rebecca on front desk was super helpful. Thank you Would highly recommend a stay here even for few nights as we did.
As titled. Location - Check Facilities - Check Rooms - Check Customer service - poor Staying 2 adults and twin newborns we booked a 2 bedroom apartment. On arrival a couple was waiting in front of me and offered that I go ahead as I had two babies in two. The manager told me that she would serve the couple first as they were there first. The couple again insisted and I stepped aside. RUDE. Once checked in, I confirmed room configuration and was told she’d change the configuration around. Had a city facing room which opens to Street. Note - don’t leave doors or windows open as smoke from smokers below rises straight into your rooms. Provided with 4 small towels in total which is what I would expect made available for 2 adults. No coffee mugs in room The distance from car park to lift is long - but trolleys are available for use..…
Very happy with our apartment, large and spacious with everything you need, always a bonus with your own laundry. Our apartment overlooked some shops with a view of the river which was nice. In walking distance to shops and restaurants. The kids loved the awesome roof top pool. 2 secure car parks for your vehicle also. Would absolutely recommend a stay here.
After a horrible night’s stay at Chateau Tongariro, we wisely checked out and made our way to the lovely coastal city of Whakatane, where we were fortunate to book at Quayside Apartments. We appreciated Rebecca, the friendly property manager, allowing us to check in a bit before their normal 2 pm check-in time, and I enjoyed the chance to shake off the road with an invigorating swim in the rooftop pool. Our two bedroom/ two bath flat was large and spacious with a balcony overlooking George Street. The bed was very comfortable, and there was no street noise, so we slept soundly. We loved that the unit had a washer/dryer, so we were able to “refresh” our wardrobe after almost a week of traveling. We liked the sleek lines of the modern kitchen, which had everything we needed for our short stay. WiFi was very good, and it was a short walk to the store to get a few essentials for breakfast. We also liked that Spice Junction (a fine Indian restaurant) was very close by, and loved our evening stroll along the nearby wharf, which sits right near the mouth of the Whakatane River. We parked in a numbered space in a safe, covered parking garage which was included in the reasonable tariff. Our cost for the night was $240 NZ, (equating to $152 in US Dollars), which we thought was extremely reasonable for the excellent quality of the accommodations. We wish that we could have stayed longer than one night, and would definitely choose Quayside Apartments for a longer stay. Whakatane is a lovely central location for exploring this portion of the Bay of Plenty and the area deserves a stay of at least three nights.…
I've stayed here twice in 2018 and loved the apartments that were allocated. Very clean and the view was relaxing. Parking great for 2 cars and pool and gym great also. I loved the Spice Indian restaurant, the craic, and the Office to eat at and be entertained.
