I booked on line for one night at this Motel, on arriving it had no outside appeal at all, I was greeted at the desk by a quietly spoken lady who gave me the key and showed me where to go. There was a small table and chairs outside and inside the motel had obviously been recently renovated very tastefully. It was lovely and clean and had a nice feel about it the bed comfortable and the room had everything we wanted and we were able to walk into Coromandel for dinner. If we ever come back to Coromandel we will certianly book here and tell our friends and family.

Lovely studio. The room was spotless and, when I closed the windows, I heard no noise from outside or from other rooms. The bathroom is large and so is the shower. Great pressure too. Everything looks very new. Comfortable bed. Bridget also very helpful and accommodating. The bus dropped me off right in front of the motel (get off at the Tidewater stop). It takes about 3 min to slowly stroll into town where there are several restaurants and stores, including a grocery. Next time I visit the peninsula I will stay here as my launch point. Great value for the accommodation--highly recommend.

We travelled as a small family (two adults two children) and booked at the Olive Motel for 3 nights around Anzac weekend. Had a fabulous trip and strongly recommend!

Location is great - couple of hundred metres from the town with restaurants and a big sized convenience store. Also central between Driving Creek Railway and Long Bay area.

Superbly appointed and clean, with large rooms and huge bathroom (pics attached). Lots of towels/crockery available and a small kitchenette as well which really helped when travelling with young children.

Beds were very comfortable and soft, we had solid sleep after exciting days driving around. On site parking, with the lots being right next to the room made it very convenient with luggage and forgotten things (a certainty with the kids around).

All for a very reasonable price and friendly owners! Would definitely stay again when we come to this area.

This would have to be the best motel I’ve ever stayed in. The amenities are first class, great kitchen, large bathroom and comfortable bed.
We stayed for four days and the room was serviced every day, clean towels, replenished toiletries, tea and coffee.
I will be recommending this motel to all my friends. We are from Australia and as I said previously, this motel is by far the best I’ve ever stayed in.

This motel is very close to town so convenient to everything in Coromandel Town - supermarket, restaurants etc. It seems to have been recently refurbished with a great bathroom and well equipped kitchenette including a two ring hob. A small patio area with pot plants was an added bonus as was air conditioning. Recommended!

A beautiful room. Quality fittings throughout. Everything you need. Kitchen was great. Bathroom lovely comfortable beds and a warm room without putting any heating on. I loved that
Owner very helpful and laundry facilities are great only $2 per load each for dryer and machine.

Spent 7 nights at this location during the wettest week ever in January 2023. Great location the room was clean, practical, bright and airy. David was so helpful in recommending places to visit, local eateries and general tips about The Coromandel.
Easy walking distance to town for supermarkets and places to eat. Even on very wet and windy days we were very comfortable.

Everything you want for a short layover in Corromandel. Clean, everything works and the beds are comfortable. The location is within walking distance of the town centre and you can stand in the middle of the road for quite a long time before you are in danger of being run over!

Been travelling for several months and stayed in a number of hotels/motels....this is one of my favourites. The room was spotless: well laid out and modern in decor. We were welcomed earlier despite the current tensions and although generally did not feel the people within the town were particularly friendly or welcoming; the motel owner was. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in coromandel town: you will not be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay here. Upgrade to one bedroom apartment. Appreciated the additional space . Both complex and apartment were spotless and well maintained. Helpful host who responded immediately when we had minor plumbing issue. Would definitely return.
