Angie and Tony were wonderful hosts but have only recently bought this business. Our overall impression is that they do not understand what they have taken on and are out of their depth. Cleanliness is a major concern. We returned at the end of the day to find the breakfast dishes unwashed and half a loaf of bread where we left if, on the dining room table, covered in flies. Jam in the fridge was covered in mould. Great location and nice rooms but the owners do not understand the concept of customer service.

We only had time for a one night stay, but the location to Coromondel Town was good, and the view from our room out over the water was excellent. Accommodations were very comfortable with many personal touches. The breakfast was particularly good with home grown selections.

This is the best place we've stayed at on The Coromandel. Plenty of off street secure parking, a tidal property with beautiful views both water and mountains surrounding, everyone has their privacy here, lot's of areas to relax in for Guests inside and out,and great breakfast's!!! Homemade bread & jams, and a very filling cooked breakfast which sets you up for the day!!. Anne & Peter are great hosts, their knowledge of the area is so helpful and saves so much time, pointing out all the shortcuts to the beautiful beaches and walks. Close by to some top restaurants and shops too.

My wife and I have just stayed three nights at Mangrove Manor located on the edge of Coromandel Town. Anne & Peter are great hosts but admitted they are ready for a change after running their B & B for 8 years. They have the property on the market and hope for a sale soon. The property is immaculate. Our room was comfortable but a little small - there was no wardrobe and hanging any clothes was limited to a few coat hangers on some hooks in the room. Peter cooks a great breakfast!

Thanks Peter for your feedback. In all fairness, we did offer to store at least some of your cases next door to you in the utility room, and as mentioned it does serve as a large hanging space as well..Our Queen sized rooms do have ample hanging space for our guests on their travels. And We will have the place marketed at the end of the season, but for now it is business as usual for the next 6 months. Thanks Again. Anne & Peter

Anne and Peter are excellent hosts who made us feel welcomed and are so friendly and helpful during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Mangrove Manor from the cosy room with a view to the tasty cooked breakfast. Thank you Anne and Peter for your lovely hospitality. We will definitely love to be back again and will recommend to our friends if they are looking for a place to stay when visiting the Coromandel :)

Wonderful stay easy to locate, close to town. Superb Hosts Hospitality was excellent. Warm inviting home and lovely rooms, cosy house, beautifully clean and modern. a great big fire place in the living area for winter stays. My back was hurting and host assisted me with hot water bottle and wheat bag to ease pain. Bedrooms ensuites are large with plenty of storage. Easy directions to Whitianga and other tourist attractions. My friend and I stayed here for two nights. Excellent price for the location and area. Will stay here again!

We only had one night in Coromandel, and we could not have picked a better place to stay. Peter and Ann are perfect hosts. The bed was super comfy in a well appointed en suite bedroom. Mangrove Manor is just a few minutes drive from the village and very convenient for taking in the sites and cuisine of the area.

We booked Mangrove Manor, Coromandel Peninsular from UK and were delighted with our choice. Peter and Anne were extremely helpful with regard to the local vicinity, where to visit and restaurants. Nothing was too much problem. Our bedroom was very clean and comfortable with an excellent collection of tea, Coffee, water etc. There was a lovely lounge for guests. Breakfasts were amazing and cooked to your personal request. Overall excellent.

Very clean, cosy. The Location just about 1,5 km outside Coromandel is a nice spot. The owners are very frindly and helpful. The garden around the house is very much cared for. The drive towards Coromandel is a sensation. Although there have been reports about a damaged costal road we did not have any problems. A beautyful drive! If you like to have dinner we can recomment "Pepper Tree" in Coromandel!
