Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tui lodge has a very accomodating host, she made us feel at home.
The rooms are basic but comfortable and reasonably priced.
Perfect place for a group visit.
It’s located about 10 minutes walk from the township, but far enough away to feel your in a rural location.
Great kitchen facilities and the use of an outdoor bbq, there is a great outdoor area perfect for soaking up the coromandel sun.

My boyfriend and I had been let down by our Air bnb booking and we were looking for a place to stay very last minute plus late at night. Diane was our saviour and such a wonderful host, she went out of her way to accommodate us. The place was very well kept, clean and comfortable. Our room was perfect and the bed was comfy too! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back :)

Not quite the usual sort of place I'd stay in but it was actually fine. Not in the town centre but still walking distance. A polite welcome and explanation of facilities. Didn't really see any other guests in my brief stay!

Our first stay at a Backpacker motel with en suite accommodation and it was just great. Staff were attentive and very helpful, the room was very comfortable and spacious and the kitchen and sitting room available for our use were more than adequate. Convenient to Coromandel town we would certainly stay there again if we were in the area.

We stayed in a ensuited room. The place had shared facilities (kitchen, fridge) that were clean and easily accessible. Since we visited in June it was quiet and i believe there were only a couple more occupants there.
The wifi is only available in the lounge area and not in the rooms.

We had an amazing 3 nights camping at Tui Lodge. The facilities had everything we needed (free washing machine use, clean bathrooms and two large kitchens with everything you would need). They also provide free bike hire (with a $20 deposit you get back) and the orchard came into good use when we wanted lemons and fruit! With kind and helpful staff adding to the experience we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Tui Lodge to anyone else visiting the beautiful Coromandel region :)

This backpacker lodge is in the country just two minutes from town. The rooms face out and they all have outdoor tables and chairs. There are a couple of kitchens, well stocked, great lounge areas and plenty of facilities. The owners are wonderfully helpful and friendly. This is a quiet accommodation and very peaceful. We enjoyed the setting and would definitely come back.

It is not often I give 5 stars for everything but this place had it all. Just a short bike ride away from the town ( the lodge loan you bikes and helmets for a deposit). The place is full of character, with chairs, sofas all over so there is enough space for everyone staying there. There is a free laundry with drying racks and the kitchen has everything you need. The owners are so nice and we extending our stay.

The town was really lovely and had great character. The hostel was nice enough. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and left straight away after breakfast. Our double room was quite small but it was very clean and tidy and it had everything we needed. It doesn't take cards so you need to make sure you have cash. They don't have WIFI, but you can use their computer for a charge. The coast line is absolutely gorgeous so would be worth a visit just for that.
