Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such disappointment
This so-called resort is more a backpackers there is no glamour here and the clamping tent is really basic yes it has a bed it has hot and cold shower and the toilet and hand basin but there are no cooking facilities not even the ability to boil hot water for morning coffee one has to go to the communal kitchen to do such things even to store champagne in the communal refrigerators.
The resort which is in Chinese ownership has been allowed to run down and I believe the owner is land banking and trading on an Image of luxury created in a previous time.
The advertised walking tracks around the farm do not exist on the northern half and there is no map supplied of those tracks or suggestions of using the South Cove it wasn’t until we left and the Bathmaster Alec took us on a tour around the island and pointed out the various areas to us.
Although the farm is a disgrace very poor fencing no styles to climb over gates that were difficult to open and close and treacherous conditions underfoot the actual island is magnificent it’s such a pity to see your farm in such a neglected state although the animals look reasonably healthy healthy.
At $850 for two nights there are so many other wonderful resorts to go to New Zealand so until ownership changes and this Beautiful island is properly developed as a result I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who wants to take a luxurious and glamorous holiday with their loved one

Room Tip: Only book the Chalets. They at least have privacy and cooking facilities

Can we arrive in our own boat, and anchor it in the bay?
