My elderly mother and I spent our first night in NZ here and it was perfect. Judy, our hostess was so hospitable and made us feel so welcome and at home. Our only regret is that we didn’t spend much longer. The breakfast was fantastic, home made compote, granola and perfectly cooked scrambled egg with baby tomatoes. The coffee was excellent and it was an added pleasure to have an outside table with views of the garden. Thank you Judy. Sarah and Margaret.

My second visit to Jacaranda Lodge was every bit as good as my first. Environmentally aware hosts do not compromise comfort and the surroundings are really beautiful. I would recommend this lovely place, only a few kms from Coromandel town, to anyone seeking a peaceful yet friendly place to stay. The home grown breakfasts are a real treat too, Judy you are a true home artist.

Actually stayed here two years ago on a solo backpacking trip to New Zealand. Absolutely adored this place and is still one of my fondest memories. The room itself was clean, cosy and warm. Plenty of bedding and space for storage. Bathrooms were clean, accessible and peaceful! Best part has to be the breakfast that is set up using ingredients freshly grown! Absolutely delicious.Top class lodge with great hosting from the owners. 10/10 recommend.

Loved ours stay here, full of interesting guests, who all shared stories around the breakfast table. We came here on a winter swim camp without much idea of the best beaches. Judy and Gerald, our hosts, went out of their way to help us find the perfect swimming locations (recommend Simpsons beach!). Our garden room with ensuite was just perfect - leading out to the garden with every kind of fruit tree you could think of and 2 retired donkeys! Milly the young lab was adorable too. Home produce and freshly baked bread was such a treat at breakfast too. Just wish our stay could have been longer--but will be back!!
