Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have used the Europa House (not to be confused with the Europa Hotel) on 2 occasions for a period of 2 weeks each time. I have found the rooms to be cleaned to a high standard but lacking WiFi which is only available in the lobby. Having read the reviews about the restaurant we have never bothered to eat there and instead walked the short distance into the town where there is a wide choice of restaurants. In any event, the restaurant was closed on this visit. The pool was clean, unlike my last visit when it was absolutely filthy; the grounds were tidy. I was surprised to find that they allowed visitors with dogs who were sometimes noisy.
I think that the building was shut down during the pandemic and now houses many Ukrainians who have fled their country.
The staff, notably Victor and Gertrude, were outstanding and supplied a kettle but, unlike last time, there is no toaster.

We stayed at this hotel, December 2022. Very worn but clean you have to wash your own bedding and towels. No maids come in all week not close to amenities. Need a car wouldn’t stay here again best thing about it there’s a nice little supermarket attached to it. About 20 minute walk to the nearest bar restaurant.

Stayed for 6 nights to meet up with friends. Good apartment with large bathroom, lounge / kitchen area. The bedroom was a good size with bedroom side cabinets and wardrobe.
The large balcony had a round table + 2 chairs.
As we eat out most days we did not get the hang of the 3 in 1 microwave / grill / oven
and electric stove top only had 2 rings - my only moan, so hence only 4 stars
Restaurant only open in the summer months - but brilliant continental breakfast in the bar area for $4

We recently stayed here. Not very welcoming. Peeling paint, holes where lights should be,mold in shower/bath just very tired dirty and run down. Better value in guardamar is easy to find. Location not bad.

Great place to stay in a 100%Spanish town nothing like the other resorts of the Costa,s very cheap places to eat and drink . The hotel is for long term stays we stayed with my sister the whole of the hotel was clean and tidy and everyone was so friendly. I have never stay in a Spanish town which was so cheap to go out . PS the beach area is one of the best I've seen

Terrible. I don't recommend anyone to stay here. When we arrived the room was only prepared for 2 people, not the 3 we booked. Beds very uncomfortable, definately not memory foam mattresses as advertised. The hotel is quite isolated and not close to anything advertised. We came back to our apartment one evening to discover an infestation of ants. We went to speak to the very rude receptionist who refused to let us change rooms and basically said there's nothing he can do apart from give us an almost empty can of bug spray. He said it was our we must have left food on the floor (in the bathroom and we had no food in the apartment. We had eaten out every day). He also suggested we should have stayed in that evening and not gone out so we could have reported the problem as soon as the ants appeared and not at almost midnight when we arrived back. He then refused to give us the contact details of his manager.
After paying for late checkout at the beginning of our stay our room cards stopped working at 12pm. It took 2 trips to reception to sort this out. IMPORTANT NOTE - Definately would not recommend you try the Paella after watching the chef make it outside by the drinks hut, taste testing it many times, returning the same saliva covered spoon into the paella each time! Yuk

A four night stay, would never go back. Lots of space in the apartment but definitely not clean and your asked to clean it yourself before you leave! Beds very uncomfortable, no kettle. There is nothing near the hotel. 15 minutes walk to local town which has a few cafes but most places were closed. Restaurants near the beach are limited. We spent €45 in a taxi to go into Alicante main town just for a nice meal and nice bars.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!staff is so unhelpful, they are false advertising, gates left open beside a park which leads on to a motor away so any child could easily walk out and be killed, lift is broke me and my 2 year old daughter was stuck in the lift for at least 30 minutes!!

I stayed here last week with my Mum I am 31 and Mum is 63. We loved this place. The self catering apartments are really modern, spacious and clean. Anything that we needed that wasn't supplied in the apartment - (tin opener etc) they had at reception. Fresh towels whenever you needed them - again just had to take the dirty ones to reception and exchange them for new ones.

We didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on these and as it is self catering there wasn't any room service.

The pool area was clean and large and always plenty of sun-loungers. There was an indoor and outdoor play area for small children as well as paddle ball, pool table, table-tennis for older children and adults.

The staff were so so kind - really lovely and helpful. They helped us to arrange kayaking and bike hire and the hotel is in a great location for accessing the bike routes.

Town centre is only a 10-15min walk if you want bars/restaurants. There is a suprmarket only 5mins walk away and the beach is about 25mins - but part of it is through a shady park area so not too hot!

The beach was quiet if you stick to the eastern end.

A perfect holiday - would definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are the best in terms of views - the others overlook scrub land or roads.

Is their an iron in the room?

No but you can get one from reception, you have to pay a deposit of 30 euros for iron and toaster and I think a coffee machine which you get back when you leave, obviously people have been pinching them.

We stayed there early this year and our bed was ok, certainly not rock hard. We paid for just the apartment without any food, there is a supermarket 5 mins down the road where you can get anything you want.
