We love this place the apartments are large and well equipped, always clean and the staff are brilliant. We felt completely safe plenty of sanitizer around a lovely man looking after the pool area, cleaning the sunbeds after use. Can I just remind people that leave negative reviews for these apartments - you get what you pay for !! We always book our airport transfers through Plaza Real and there is always someone waiting for us at Faro airport 60 Euros each way. its a great base to stay and explore the beautiful Algarve, 10 minute walk to the main strip, shopping centre 10 mins in the other direction. Plaza Real is always full speaks for itself

Omg what can i say! The wonderful woman patricia who works there saved my life so many times when we came to stay! Everything that went wrong, which was nothing to do with the hotel, this beautiful lady fixed for me! It was scary being abroad with just me and my two children and when we got to the hotel late at night because of delays and queues etc... after my transport had left without me and had to come back, and the online company had cancelled our booking without telling me! This amazing lady saved the day and sorted it out for me. She even came with our towels and bedding for the room, finding us sat on the floor outside the apartment and unlocked the door for us because i couldn't even get that open (the kind of day it had been!) And told us where to get some food because we were starving! And she helped me sort the transfers out back to the airport which was madness! And even put up with me trying to leave a day early! Because i got my days mixed up! 😳😂 and all the other crazy things that happened she was brilliant and the rest of the staff were fab. They helped me to feel safe and not alone! And the hotel itself is beautiful! The rooms were so clean and cool and the pool was fabulous! The kids loved spending a bit of time each day in there! The beach is literally 10 mins walk away and there is a little shop and restaurants and the town center with a big shopping mall and quaint little streets and taxis and the take away called al capones too! Everything was so amazing! I want to go back just to see everyone again and say thank you for making our holiday so special! If you need a personal touch to your holiday and personnel who actually care about ypur problems and everything at your finger tips with a bargain price then this is definitely the place for you!!! I will be returning and i cant wait! They made the holiday amazing! THANK YOU!

Very good value for money for our stay in June, we only went for 5 nights initially but extended our stay for 2 weeks (and then the prices went up for July sadly otherwise we would have stayed longer). The apartment is very spacious, the kitchen equipment provided is quite basic but we managed to cook all our meals fine. We had the WiFi router in our room so it was really good although I heard it's not as strong in rooms further from the router. The on site restaurant served amazing value food, it was homemade and delicious - burger and chips for €3, fish and chips €5, beer & wine €1.50. The staff were really helpful, you can get extra toilet roll and bin bags from reception, and new towels/bedding changed every 7 days. The pool was great although it can get busy. The walk to the main strip and the beach was about 10mins.

Very spacious and clean apartment, staff are friendly and food not too bad but plenty of places around to eat. 15 minute walk to beach (down a dirt track or road). You can hire a iron but take hairdryer. Clothes airer on balcony. Free aircon in bedroom & living room, free wifi. Small supermarket nearby.

On day 5 we asked about clean towels & was told we had a booked apartment that did not include cleaners (& change of towels) - I wasnt aware of this! 5 euros each for clean towels although you get free toilet rolls and bin bags but dispose of your own rubbish .
We would return to this apartment.

We had an apartment overlooking both the football field and pool (so we were both happy🤣) Plenty of hand sanitiser dotted around the hotel so felt super safe.

Reception staff are super friendly and helpful, I had a little accident (more on that in a minute) and they lent me some iodine solution that really helped.
A warning about the patio chairs though, if they are on the balcony in the sun all day they lose a lot of strength, I sat on one that shattered (I'm 15 stone before you assume I'm fat😉) and caused a few cuts and grazes so best keep them in doors when not being used.
All in all a fabulous time, totally relaxing and can't wait to return next year.

For a 3 star hotel, this is pretty amazing. We were given a beautiful upstairs downstairs 2 bedroom apartment with loads of room, a huge bathroom with a bath and two showers and a large balcony! Staff very friendly and happy to sort out any issues if you ask them or if you have questions in general.
The pillows are not on the beds they are in the cupboard, so don't panic if you can't see them!
Bed linen crisp and fresh.
Towel changed once in middle of week, however there is a generous quota of towels!
Onsite cafe bar is decent and reasonable prices. Also a wee shop bit for essentials, a bit pricey but saves a trip to the big shop which is 20 min walk away or just over €4 in a cab.
Immaculately clean throughout, a bit dated but this is a three star after all!
In the other direction it is about 20 minutes to praia da Rocha, and again just over €4 for a taxi back. There is a wee sandy track through the houses that's a shortcut, I wouldn't walk it after dark personally.
The tv doesn't have many english speaking channels.... but you're on your holiday. It didn't bother us one bit. There is wifi and also a load of books to borrow if you need entertainment!
Wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

Perfect spot for an Autumn break away. This is our 2nd time to visit this complex so we knew what to expect (mostly). We were surprised to be asked for a €200 cash deposit when we arrived as we didn't remember that from the last stay.

The Plaza Real apts are very clean and spacious properties. The kitchen is very well stocked for a self catering holiday, with everything you will need. This stay, we were situated in the car block and our balcony looked out into waste ground, not ideal but didn't really affect the holiday so there is no point complaining. The beds however were very unz,,comfortable in this room and it really did affect my sleep. I would wake up feeling sore and stiff as a result.

What you need to remember is that your apartment is self catering, so you need to do everything yourself here. Empty your bins and if you want a change of towels or bed linen, you need to pay a surcharge. If you want domestic staff to clean your room, its €10 per day.

I would definitely recommend these apartments and we have our visit booked for next year already.

I was not expecting much for the little money we paid. The apartment was very basic but clean and very spacious.
The pool was well maintained, but not used when we was there.
The bar/restaurant was basic but well stocked and the food that I saw looked very edible.
The back of our apartment looked over a football pitch, which was well used and kept me entertained for hours.
The beach Bars and Restaurants are only 10-15 minutes stroll away, which there are plenty.

Bit of a mixed bag overall. Unsure whether it's because I've been spoilt over the years with self catering hotels but this wasn't the best I've been to. Upon arrival we discovered we had to pay 200 euros as a security deposit until we left. This wasn't specified upon booking and so had to take money out of ATMs incurring big charges and one ATM that didn't give the money out but charged it! That's another story, anyway... the apartment was huge and clean so that was a bonus but very basic. One toilet roll, no things you may need such as corkscrew/ scissors/ sieves/ spatulas/ sponge/ dustpan and brush etc. Beds were really not comfy and everything was a charge. Hairdryer, iron, WiFi etc. No cleaning throughout the week that was a 30euro charge per clean and fresh towels but no facilities to clean anything if you didn't want that mops, washer etc.
Again I'm not sure what is 'normal' for a self catering now but this was just so basic in my experience. The reason I've rated it a 4/5 is down to the bar and pool area. So relaxed and lots of seats. Although I couldn't eat there (vegan) the drinks were great and extremely cheap! The landlord Marco and his team were fabulous! Great energy, funny and helpful. The Silent disco was great! So glad we got back for the last hour and a half of it so much fun. They really made it for us.
The hotel and the grounds itself were clean and looked nice and the hotel staff were polite. Glad we had the bar to enjoy :)

Hi. Yes. Lovely pool with a games room with pool etc. but the beach is 15 minutes walk away and down a long'ish path. Plaza Real is really nice. Just enjoy. We've been there 4 times now.
