Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Positive:
Good location
Friendly staff
Kettle in the room with coffee and tea
Comfortable bed
TV
Fast WiFi
Large, walk-in shower
Negative:
Smoking guests at the entrance, whose smell comes into the room when the window is open
Air conditioning was on when we arrived and set to 10 degrees. Who wants 10 degrees in their room?
Shower door leaking, water running into the rest of the bathroom
Questionable toilet "door" in the room
Smoke detector at the entrance covered with a plastic bag, is that fire safety compliant?

Hotel located directly in the city center, close to the train station. Room with a wide bed, bathroom with walk-in shower. Simple breakfast, friendly service. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work; a fan was brought upon request.

We stayed here one night as part of a group tour in central Europe. The hotel is nice, clean, and adequate for what we needed. The rooms are kind of small and lack space to put stuff away, but that didn't affect us only staying one night. It could be an impact for longer visits. Breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.

The room:
If you like bedside tables or at least a shelf by the bed, the B&B in Aalen is not for you, because the philosophy is "We don't have bedside tables" according to the motto "It's not a bug, it's a feature"
There was actually no wardrobe. Except for a rod with 4 hangers that was attached to the wall in the corner. We had to store our luggage on the floor in the middle of the room.
On the right side of the bed you had to be careful not to step on a socket that was lying open on the floor and was connected to power cables.

The toilet:
The missing toilet lid was the smallest drawback. The toilet door couldn't be closed and so you could hear each other defecating. Because the toilet door couldn't be closed you could also listen to the ventilation for 20 minutes at night, unless you went to the toilet without turning on the light.

The bed:
The next day when we lifted the bed sheet we saw what we had been lying on all night. There were some indefinable, yellowish stains. What was definable, however, were the menstrual marks.

When we complained to Mrs. Tatic on the day of arrival - we didn't know about the stains on the mattress - and asked for another room, we were refused, saying that the hotel was fully booked.

When we decided to cut our stay short the next morning and look for other accommodation, we found out at reception that there was still a room available.

Very poor but expensive hotel in Aalen center. I have been here several times when this was part of Ibis now they changed to B&B chain and all the quality of the hotel is very much worst then before! Only prices has been increased a lot! I would not recommend at all this hotel anymore, also the breakfast it is now very poor!

After staying at a good quality Ibis Styles hotel in Geneva I thought I would give the Aalen one a try. Entered a very clean facility and check in was straight forward. Colours and decor are very bright and coloured. Looks good. Plenty of room. Good bathroom facilities. TV was fine but not enough channels with English. Breakfast is a very good quality. A very good variety. The location to the Aalen hauptbahnhof and city centre is ideal.

I visited this hotel on a business trip at the end of April, 2013, this is a bright, friendly and cheap place to stay.

The staff are very friendly and speak good English, and they were happy to advise on a place to eat out in Aalen.

Wi-fi is included in the price of the room, as is breakfast, of which there is a lot of choice; including hot bacon and eggs, cereals, yoghurts and pastries.

There is limited parking behind the hotel, otherwise you can park in the street out front or if you have a small car or are particularly brave then there is an underground car park available.

The rooms are clean and brightly coloured, the pillows are quite small, but this seems to be the norm in Germany. There are plenty of towels available in the room, but the only slight issue is the toilet door which doubles as a mirror and doesn't have a lock on it.

I would stay here again.

I’m visiting your lovely town as a member of the Christchurch and District Band . We are having a lovely time and enjoyed playing to happy crowds of people.
The hotel is excellent and staff are very friendly.
My only criticism is regarding no access to BBC world news or Sky News. Apparently no French channels either.
I’m disappointed with this as surely this should be provided on your tv offering.

There is a good Italian within walking distance: Da Vito. Leib und Seele, also nearby, is very good for meat.
