My khe beach hotel and restaurant is right opposite to the beach across the road. My Khe beach is not as crowded as Danang city. In 30th April or 1st Sep holidays, travelers can choose the less known places. The price is not that high and early fully booked. The place is far from the city. A big restaurant of the hotel is served. It is popular with the local people. The hotel is belong to Cong ty CP Du Lich Quang Ngai, which has 3 hotels in the province. Laundry service is available.

We stumbled across this hotel whilst passing through Quang Ngai. It’s located perfectly on the beach and a 2 minute walk to town. Rooms are spacious, fairly quiet and clean and WiFi is ok. Food and drinks in the restaurant are reasonably priced but there are better places to eat on the waterfront. We were the only westerners in the entire town and no one spoke any English at all so expect a bit of a challenge with this, but it’s the perfect Vietnamese experience in a beautiful town!

We spent 2 nights at my khe hotel as we wanted to go to the son my museem and we are travelling with 2 young children so didn't want to do it all in one day from Hoi an. When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly suprised at the condition of our room as from the reviews we weren't expecting the ritz! We staying in a triple room which was large and comfortable. The staff were generally friendly and helpful although communication at times was difficult. The hotel was largely empty which has been described by other reviews. There are a couple of good stalls within a short walk for street food. We did not eat at the hotel as breakfast is not included in the price. The reason we have given such a poor review is because we discovered immediately after we left that we had had £300 in cash stolen from us. The money was in a money pouch but we had left it in the room as we had gone to the beach. We obviously cannot prove that this money was taken during our stay but we know how much cash we had on us on arrival and how much when we left. This has left a real bitter taste for us and if you do go to this hotel bear this in mind. The hotel is right on the beach so access is very easy but you need to think about what you do with your cash whilst you are out - be careful!

We stayed one week at this hotel. Service at the reception is just okay, with very little English spoken, almost none in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is not very good and the service is really bad; no training has occurred. The menu they give you in English is really boring, with no or very little fresh veggies. I looked at the Vietnamese menu, and it wasn't much better. I asked for spring rolls, as I had seen others eating them, but couldn't get my message through. We found the food at the restaurant across the street to be much, much better - really good steamed clams (or as they put it 'steamed clame' - cute). The room we got was just fine. It was clean, the air conditioner worked and the bed was pretty comfortable, although the pillows were not. These are the parameters we look for in a place to stay. The price point was also very good - about $25 USD per night. The location is just across the street from the ocean. There are no hotel facilities on the beach. No chairs provided, or beach towels. We wanted something off the beaten track and we found it. My Khe beach (not to be confused with the one in Da Nang) is quiet - everything shuts down by 7:30 pm. The little town, which is a five minute walk away is home to many, many fishermen and agricultural workers, who are up early everyday. Consequently we were up early as well, but that was mostly to do with the heat. We spent the 2nd week of March in My Khe and it was upwards of 30 degrees Celsius, and humid. We spent our time doing lots of walking, just looking at the area. Very interesting, as it's only about 5 km from where the Mai Lai massacre occurred in March, 1968, which we visited on the 16th (the 49th anniversary of this event). This is a place we can't really recommend. Maybe it's because we were both sick there, and we think it was from the food. We'd already been in Vietnam for 1 and 1/2 months, so it didn't seem likely that we would get sick, but we did. If you are looking for a very, very quiet place to just hang around and look at the ocean, then this place is probably right for you. We just found that there wasn't a lot to do except recover from feeling sick, play crib, drink some beers or other cool beverages, and walk. To get to the closest city, Quang Nghi, was about 18 km away and cost about $25.00 return, something not in our budget. Overall, this hotel is not well looked after. We don't think that it can be that old - really too bad, as could've been much better.

Except of two friendly girls at the reception we didn't feel welcome from the Hotel staff. When we have seen other staff members they even ignored us and didn't give a hello back. The room was clean and cosy but the lumination was insufficient even by turning on every light. The toilet seat wasn't clean and had urinal drops. The pressure of the water in the shower wasn't strong at all. The Hotel's restaurant was not tasty, the noodle soup tasted like made with an instant noodle package and the staff was unattentive and ignorant. It's a bit sad, because with a more friendly, attentive and professional staff this hotel could be a nice place.

Love this place! The beach is out front on the other side of pine trees that have hammocks. The beach is clean, plenty of restaurants, taxi stand out front, clean and staff very nice ( little English but no problems). Very good price $85 USD for 3 nights on Agoda. Good running route just west of beach. Beds are comfortable, unlike typical hotel that caters to Vietnamese. Wireless and air con great I was in room 206 which had router outside my door). Can sit on adjacent balcony and see beach and feel ocean breeze. This is not a western resort. This is a comfortable, 2-3 star place, well worth the price. Would love it with kids.

The staff is friendly and they do speak a bit of English. The room was big, but had a strong smell of moisture and the facilities were not that clean. I was alone in the hotel, so it was very peaceful. Around the hotel you will not find a lot of things to do. There is a wide and long beach, but the water isn't that clear as described in Lonely Planet. My Son memorial and museum are about 3-4 km from there (be careful: wrong location in Google maps!!). So more or less walking distance, it depends on your fitness! Just take the bridge near the hotel, take left and walk through the village to reach the roundabout. Then take the road on the right (3. Exit) and walk about 2 km. The memorial is on the right.
