I reserved a room in My Tra hotel via booking.com but when i came to receive room...oh my god...i felt so disappointed about everything here. 1. A front desk offficer is not friendly and when i asked him more detaily and i got nothing from him. 2. When i come to the room. The way to the room is so dark which made me feel uncomfortable and a little scared. 3. Getting into the room, no bathtub which is advertised on booking.com. And when i asked him about that, he told that i have to accept that and no explain. What a crazy experience in my holiday. I won't come back there even once.

I stayed only 1 night before I went to Ly Son island with my family and it was terrible. Only 1 elevator for 1 big old hotel, the breakfast was yaakii, has nothing to eat. I had my breakfast before 8am, and i asked to fill up some more dumplings, the staff said no more ? The A/C in my room was broken then I called reception to change my room. After changed, they told me all of the A/C over this hotel just like that, and they gave me 1 extra fan?

I found this hotel to be quiet old and dated. The room was generally clean but the hotel room carpet has worn and had old cigarette burns. The TV in the room was an old style TV that seemed as old as the hotel. The dining room was not particular clean and the breakfast was below average. The view from the room was okay as it over looked the river and the room was spacious which were about the only highlights in my opinion.

Room Tip: A room with a view of the river is a must as it would be the main attraction for this hotel.

We had driven all the way from Da Nang to spend the night in Quang Ngai & after reading some half positive reviews about potentially hosting good food we decided toeat here. We were given menu's and after after 15 minutes somebody managed to get off their phone to ask if we wouldliketo order......turs out that the menu wasn't even available! there was 3 options printed on a small piece of paper hidden away out of site. Choice was, Morning Glory (Actually a plate of broccoli & soy sauce) Chicken hotpot? (actually chicken nuggets & chips) and a salad of......well nothing but lettuce! I can understand, it's an Asian country & if we wanted such a menu we should have visited England however there was nothing here that we could enjoy and we would have enjoyed local Vietnamese dishes however they went available. Wouldn't recommend to anyoe.

We didn't stay at this hotel but ate at their outdoor restaurant. We sat in our own covered cabana like area. Nice view at sunset of the bridge and the lights. There was a English menu but the staff didn't speak English. We ordered the prawns with veggies but looked like tiny shrimp, fried chicken with sesame which was basically popcorn chicken, fried rice, 3 beers, and a water all for $12 US dollars.

Ate sea food Hot Pot here and drank beer while watching the coloured lights from the bridges flicker on the rive ...its as nice a spot as you might find in Quang Ngai. Staff tried hard and some spoke OK English...enough to assure my dining companion there were no Snails included (!!). They do have English langauge menu and wester style food available. Food was quite good with fresh squid, prawns and King fish all going into the pot. Later the atmosphere changed as the 3 VIP rooms warmed up and began to belt out the obligatory Karaoke...either amusing local touch or an annoyance according to your tolerance level. A nice spot...better food available in town...

I stayed two nights with my daughter in a River View Twin room (#314). This is a good hotel with basic services, considering that Quang Ngai is not a touristic site such as Hoi An or Da Nang. The view of the river and the bridge from the room was great. The staff at the reception did not speak English so well and did not seem to understand the booking system via Expedia. He did not even understand what a credit card was. He said the Riverview Twin was not available, though I showed him the printed page of Expedia that says I had booked for a Twin instead of Double. After a couple of minutes' talk on a phone, however, he said a Twin is available. I guess this staff was not a regular one, because it was Sunday. Maybe he got nervous facing an unexpected guests who looked like him but do not speak Vietnamese (I'm Japanese). The staff on the next 2 days spoke English and everything went OK. They accepted my credit card. They serve good free buffet style breakfast. I especially liked their strong coffee. Dinner is good as well and inexpensive. The restaurant staff did not speak English well, but they were nice. Overall, this was a good hotel, admitting that you cannot expect a service in big cities.

2 nights at the My Tra on business. Rooms basic and sort of clean. Furnishings old fashioned and well used. Food disappointing but edible. Cheap even if you get a suite. Good if you like feral cats as they hang around you if you eat outside and also managed to get into the restaurant. English skills limited. Takes 10 mins to complete paperwork to check out. This hotel says a lot about Vietnam. A lot of catching up to do although I guess some would call it quaint.
