An amazing location. An oasis. The river on one side and a beach on the other. The river flows into the beach. So you can decide whether to swim in the colder beach or in the slightly warmer river. We took our Kyaks and paddled the river. The owners were fantastic going our of their way to help us. We blew 2 tyres getting there on our coaster bus. They went into Portland for us. Dropped off the 2 tyres and stayed there so they could bring one back fixed. The local kids were the best behaved kids we have ever experienced. They all played well together and we didn't even see an argument let alone a fight. We highly recommend this park.

What an absolutely beautiful place. 4 days and 3 nights was certainly not enough. It was the perfect place to just getaway and recharge with our two kids. Even with a bit of rain it was still so nice to be there.
Our site was an extremely generous grass site, surrounded by trees, overlooking the river - just perfect. Kids brought their wetsuits and had a swim and play in the river albeit the freezing water…was still so much fun for them. I’d imagine in the summer it would be absolutely perfect!
Upon arrival a fire drum was dropped off at our site along with some fire wood so we can have a fire. Plenty of space for family bike rides and beautiful long walks. The beach on the other side of the caravan park is stunning. I’m told that in the summer the beach there is patrolled.
Camp kitchen had everything you needed, there was a games room, sand volley ball court. Just outside the park there was a footy oval, tennis courts, great little jetty to fish off, a bike track.
The new owners Sally and Brad were incredibly hospitable and so lovely. We could’ve easily stayed an extra week! We can’t wait to be back there again!

Room Tip:Bring a wetsuit, sit-on-top kayak. If you’re camping….a port-loo is a game changer. Bring fishing...

quite a good cabin, clean inside but quite a few cobwebs and dusty windows (which with the dry ground is probably inevitable) outside.. the little feathered friends were very evident too, but that cute little blue wren was so gorgeous.. (I did learn not to leave my sliding door open very quickly) We found the bed a little firm, but it was lovely lying there going off to sleep listening to the surf washing in on the beach. It was not till we got there that we found out that the cabin is on bore water which you cannot drink, we were told then that we could come and get rain water from the tank near the office. Perhaps this might be something to note on your website to prepare others. Had a problem with our bathroom door jamming shut which was attended too very quickly... thank you. all in all quite a pleasant stay... the river and the beach was lovely and we enjoyed watching the surf from time to time.

Our cabin was also home to a family of two chicks and Mum and Dad who had very cleverly built their nest above the security light under the cover of the porch. Mum and Dad were very attentive, and the chicks amused us by hanging their butts over the edge of the nest hence "never s..... in your nest." The cabin was fine too for our chill out breakaway. Short walk to the beach.

Our new favourite campground. Love the vibe! What more could you ask for...river one side, beach the other side, kayaking, swimming, fishing, playground, BMX track and fire pits. New owners Brad and Sal were lovely. Can't wait to visit again.

Our family had a Lovely week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The grassy sites are spacious in the unpowered section and you can camp right at the river front. Plenty of fishing and boating options as well as leisure crafts such as stand up paddle boards, kayaks and surfing at the beach. The price is fantastic too. Do yourself a favour and take the family

Hidden Gem off the main road that could easily be missed. We loved this quiet park under the trees. The ammenities block was so modern with its piped music. Surrounded by the Surrey River and a short stroll across the footbridge to the beach. Can’t wait to return.

The cabin we took for 6 nights was close to the worst I've seen in cleanliness and maintenance. The lounge windows were filthy, one glass took 5 minutes to get clean and everything else had to be checked, there was nothing to light the stove, the kitchen tap and the cistern leaked, the main bedroom light didn't work and the bathroom exhaust fan droned through the whole cabin. Most of the jets in the shower rose were blocked and the rest sprayed every which way. Its drain emptied only slowly so you stood in dirty water.

Stayed in one of the onsite cabins. Average "Jayco" two bedroom pre-fab onsite cabin. All amenities were good and a nice surroundings with a bay inlet going around most of the camp. Almost on an island, so quite scenic. However, we left our powerboard with our tablet charging in the cabin. We locked the cabin on the way out. Later that day, we rang and were told that nothing was left in the cabin! Rather disappointed at that; now we don't have a tablet for the rest of the holiday. Nice place, but don't leave anything behind!!

When we arrived at Holiday park most of the weekend stayers were leaving from their weekend break and my wife made a hasty dash to the fairly new toilet block that was close by. She was pleasantly surprised and liked the toilet block. Awhile later I paid a visit only to find that the new block was locked up and management told me that I should now use the toilet block at the other end of the park. Now although I know that there could be a smell from the use of Bore water, this toilet block smelt of Urine and even after it had been supposedly cleaned. This toilet block was a disgrace and both my wife and I felt sick about using this old and disgusting filthy toilet block facility when we could see the unopened new toilet block not made available. Management were quite abrupt with me when I enquired why the new block was not opened and used. I would strongly advice that if staying for a few nights then look for another alternative caravan park. Never again for us or our friends.
