We had an overnight stay at the Lodge. Stephanie and Alistair are amazing hosts. We were made to feel so welcome and the accommodation is beautiful and comfortable. Spotlessly clean, beautiful bedding and the location and views are superb. Alistair cooked us a wonderful breakfast and the options were everything you could wish for. Highly recommend Lake Tekapo Lodge. Annette and Gary
Absolutely gorgeous place, perfect hostess and host. Incredible breakfast. Amazing surroundings Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. Would highly recommend! Lovely walks, good food, great place to visit. If you want you can have your evening meal in the lodge
From the welcome to the departure, Stephanie looked after us very well in her and Alastair's beautiful home. The rooms were very clean and eclectically decorated with very interesting art and artefacts which we will remember for some time. It was a great location from which to visit Mt Cook and the surrounding area but we did not warm to like Tekapo as a town and the "best restaurant" was not great for non-meat eaters. Stephanie was a mine of information on he Country and the local area and the breakfast was excellent. In sum, loved the guest house; luke warm about the local area.
We arrived after a long journey from the south to a homely welcome from Stephanie and Alistair. The view from our room was over to the lake and The Good Shepherd Church and the majestic mountains. We really appreciated that Stephanie had booked a table for us on our first night so we didn't have to find something for ourselves. The room was exceptionally comfortable as was the rest of the guest accommodation. We particularly enjoyed the freedom to help ourselves to refreshments at any time. Alistair cooked awesome breakfasts which kept us going for hours. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality.
We have just spent two lovely nights at Stephanie & Alistair’s home and it has been just fantastic. From the wonderful welcome from Stephanie, to the breakfasts cooked by Alistair, to the tips, advice and insight from both of them, this was a very special place to stay. After just the two nights we felt that Stephanie & Alistair were our friends and we were very sad to leave. Indeed, I had to drag Lorraine away as she would have stood there talking for the rest of the day! Lovely comfortable rooms, terrific artwork around the place and simply a very relaxing place to stay. Thank you Stephanie & Alistair for letting us share your home. Phil & Lorraine.
