The checkin process was rather simple but we found not meeting the owners a little less personable. It was decorated very tastefully and the touches made it interesting too. The bed was sloping to the middle though so it needs an update but does have a skylight over it which is a memorable addition. All the amenities and kitchen content was excellent. The view was beautiful with Lake Tekapo being across 2 roads in front of you. I think there needs to be a little hedge or similar in front of the terrace as it sits quite directly onto the footpath and road. We also think that having absolutely no chance of a late checkout is a bit disappointing as even a half an hour extension would make a big difference to some travellers. 10am is quite a rush for some.

The view from the room is superb, amazing! The room itself impeccably appointed, except for the microwave, no user manual, being of a very different kind to the usual. 10/10 for cleanliness, electronic gadgets, comfort, bathroom, etc.
Caveat: no sound privacy, walls are so thin that one can hear conversations and TV from the adjacent rooms, therefore not suitable for honeymooners.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Lakeview Tekapo, in fact one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in NZ. Arrived on a cold, windy, rainy day and it was great to get into a room where they had already taken the time to put the heat pump on - very grateful. The view is outstanding, the quality of the room and cleanliness was amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely beautiful
The studio is such a homely space with convenience at the forefront. It is clean and it is very comfortable. The view was to die for. A very peaceful stay. I really enjoyed staying here. The only downfall I would say is when we turned on the heat pump it made this most awful smell. We let it run for about half an hour thinking it would stop it did not. Because it was quite late when we turned it on we didn’t want to call the number available so instead did in the morning. The lady was quite rude to my mother saying we should have called last night. However previously anything to do with the booking Vickie had been amazing.
Apart from that it would of been a 10/10 stay

decided to book this place for a pre birthday weekend for my partner. Absolutely loved this place. Smart home features with pin door codes, Google home, Android speakers and 2 wall mounted television loaded with all your streaming and sky channels. The fixtures were great and the bed was supppper comfortable. They also surprised us with a bottle of wine and some chocolates for the occasion. Amazing water pressure and while cloudy during our stay, the sky light over the bed was amazing. Even better you can close the shutter when needed which was perfect for my other half as a very light sleeper. Will definitely be staying again and highly recommended. Cheers again Steve and Vic for a brilliant weekend.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation and great value for money. The location was superb with an uninterrupted view of Lake Tekapo.
Clean, warm (it snowed while we were staying), comfortable and well appointed. Loved the skylight window above the bed for stargazing.

Beautiful, well-appointed room. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Great views and appreciated being able to sit outside and look at beautiful Lake Tekapo. We enjoyed stargazing using the skylight above the bed. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and we both wished we could have stayed longer. Nice location about 15 min walk from Tekapo centre. Very peaceful, lovely views.
Very clean and modern. Extremely comfy bed. Well set up if you wanted to cook anything, we weren’t there long enough for that but it would be handy if staying longer. We would love to come back and stay again.

Online booking process very easy and efficient. Great place to stay as a couple, fantastic views, lovely decor and had everything that we needed. Comfy bed, great shower and nice to have the benefits of a kitchenette.
