This is a very roomy apartment with a good view of the lake and the new pedestrian bridge from the lounge. It is in a quiet location but within walking distance of the historic church beside the lake. The bathtub was great to soak in after a long drive. It was good to be able to watch TV from seating rather than beds. The double bed is very comfortable. There is a full kitchen, and we can have breakfast whenever we want so don’t need to set the alarm. The dining table is big enough to double as desk. The single bed one of us slept in was not so comfortable. Because the apartment is on the ground floor, the owners live on the first floor and the floors above are wooden, there was quite a bit of noise from above when the owners came home quite late in the evening after we had gone to bed.

We (3 girls) stayed there for 2 nights. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the most friendly dog Jess and the owner Marie. There are three singles and one double with kitchen and bathroom. The view outside the lounge was fantastic!!! We were all blown away. I'd love to go to back Lake Tekapo again, hopefully soon, and I would love to stay at Marie & Therese B&B again. The booklet on the dining table also provided a lot of useful information. The story of the B&B development, the family members, activities and restaurants. The breakfast provided was also quite decent, with fresh tomatoes, bread, butter, jam, plenty of yoghurt and fresh fruits, juice and milk. Tea and coffee selections were also great. We absolutely loved every bit of it!!! Thank you!

It is very good because you have like a private apartment on the ground floor. The owners live upstairs and you can hear them or their TV. Breakfast is left on the room by the owner (Cold breakfast). Overall, very nice and great views but the heating of the room takes awhile.

Lovely location, garden view outstanding. Marie very friendly and helpful, she lives upstairs with her husband and the rooms are downstairs, there is a seperate bedroom with three single beds, a lounge/bedroom, kitchen and dining area and seperate bathroom. It is very clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with a microwave and use of electric fry pan, which was great, never used one before and found it easy to use, there was also a electric hob which was available upon request. Use of laundry facilities. Marie leaves everything you need for a continental breakfast, which you can eat whenever you like. Marie thinks of everything and a nice touch is the selection of chocolates as a treat. Everything in town was walkable. Only negative feedback which is an observation only, the kitchen cupboards looked tired and in need of painting.

Waking up to views across the turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo to the mountain range beyond is an image that will be remembered for many years. The guest house is set back from the main road but has an elevated position that is not overlooked. Cafe's and shops are within easy walking distance, as is the Church of the Good Shepherd and the monument to the "Canine Scots", border collies that were a vital part of the early days of sheep farming.

We stayed here unfortunately just for one night. OH MY GOODNESS!!! The views of lake tekapo and the mountains were breathtaking! I could have stayed forever just sitting in the garden! Marie was very welcoming and made us feel right at home from start to finish! She has two cute doggies who come to say hi! but they were no bother at all!! The room was clean and comfortable and very well equipped!! Free WiFi, TV etc Breakfast was provided and this was devine! We visited Lake Tekapo, Hot Pools and had a lovely evening meal out! We were just sad we could not stay longer! Highly recommend!!

Stayed here for a very comfortable 2 nights in a spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen, dining table, sitting area and patio doors leading onto delightful garden with views over Lake Tekapo. Breakfast was provided and a good variety of cereals, yoghurt, bread and jam fruit and juice. Short walk to lakeside and the church and also to the town where there were numerous eating places. Would certainly stay here again.

This is one of the best B&Bs we stayed in. Marie is a very friendly host, and we had very nice chats with her. The appartment is huge, the bed comfortable, you have WiFi and a big flat screen TV, an full kitchen, a good breakfast for self service in the fridge and fruits and some snacks on the table. Best of all is the marvellous view from your terrace to Lake Tekapo and the NZ alps. Before I forget: the dog is a very friendly guy...

Marie welcomed us warmly when we first arrived and gave us clear advice on where the town centre was etc. The room was huge and spacious with an extremely clean toilet and kitchen. It was almost like a 5 star hotel but even better as there are good kitchen facilities and a gorgeous backyard view. The bed was extremely comfortable too. Thank you Marie for hosting us in such a beautiful house. As spoken, it will always be a beautiful memory as it was where I got proposed to. (:

We stayed one night at Marie Therese. The location is quiet and a short walk from the shops and the lake. The view from our room of the lake and mountains was lovely. Our room was a good size, comfortable and well decorated. The kitchen area is well equipped. Breakfast was provided on a tray covered in clingfilm, as the owners were leaving early the next day, but was more than adequate for our needs. Marie and Peter were very welcoming and gave us helpful advice for our journey.
