Amity Court Motel is the new type of heaven that is being offered to humans in Stratford, it has a very high standard of beautiful rooms ready to accommodate as they where very clean tidy and presented with excellence.
I had the best sleep in long time with there bed being extremely comfortable along with a flavorsome cooked full breakfast being delivered made it feel like I was in a 5 star hotel.
There Spa bath was joyful to relax in as it was good too remove the body aches and pains of traveling from Auckland.
It is a must when traveling to Stratford. Value Priced Well, worth the money for my three night stay.
Jason, Kate, the Kowalewski family and Team are outstanding host's.
Well worth the experience as this is what's beautiful about staying in a motel like this! fantastic service.

Our stay was short but very pleasant.

We were here for one night after driving the Forgotten World Highway from Taumaranui.

Check in was smooth and friendly.

Room was large, modern decor and plenty of natural light.

It had a big, wonderfully comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with underfloor heating, which would be much appreciated in the winter months. Toiletries provided.

The kitchenette had a microwave and a portable plug-in cooktop, giving you the option of your own cooked breakfast. Also came with a refrigerator, crockery and cooking implements.

Countdown supermarket right next door for grocery shopping.

Location is 1.5km or a 20 minute flat walk from Glockenspiel clock tower in the middle of the town.

WIFI reliable. Good idea having the recycling rubbish bins.

Access to upstairs rooms via stairs.

Easily one of the more comfortable motels we have stayed in.

I so wanted to give this place five stars! It is right next door to a supermarket, so very easy to get supplies for the kitchen which was fine to cook in. Simple but had all you needed to make basic meals.
The check in was easy and the hosts are just lovely. We were most grateful for the late checkout, and their help in advising where nearby medical services were.
The room was spacious and clean!
We both found it very noisy, both with traffic noise, and with being able to hear absolutely everything from our neighbours. Double glazing the windows would make a huge difference. However, if you have ear plugs, you should be good to go!
The heated floors in the bathroom were a delight!

Stayed at Amity Court for 2 nights when in Taranaki for a school reunion. Requested a ground floor room for health reasons and they gave us a disabled access room with wet room shower. Great room and just what was needed. Very happy with the service and will definitely stay again when in the area.

We booked the King spa studio, and were very glad we'd paid the extra because as well as a very comfortable room, with small kitchenette and good bathroom, we had a big balcony with fantastic views over the motel's gardens towards Mount Taranaki.

I don't think the other rooms have a balcony or the views, and they're certainly not as private as the King studio.

There is plenty of parking on-site, including for larger vehicles, and a big supermarket almost next door. The centre of Stratford is about 5 mins drive away, and the motel is very conveniently-located to reach local walks and the National Park.

We spent 1 night in a Spa Studio on the ground floor. The room was suburb, with beautiful decor and furnishings, had a very comfortable bed and a very good compact kitchen, with cooking facilities. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely spa bath. Both the bathroom and the kitchen had underfloor heating, wonderful. Parking was secure, right outside the door. Would highly recommend.
The host at check-in was extremely helpful regarding the area and the walks available, recommended one in particular around Lake Rotokare which was stunning.

We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very well equipped and the spa bath an added luxury. We enjoyed our evening meal in the rotunda on the grounds while viewing magnificent Mt Taranaki at sunset. Being close to New World was a bonus. Thoroughly recommend this motel.

we moved in while our bathroom was being altered. they were so accommodating for our needs, allowing OT's to bring in equipment and our support staff daily visits. Nothing was too much trouble. We left early because of the lockdown. I really appreciated their support when things almost went wrong. Will be back

This motel is probably the best motel I have ever stayed in! It's really well priced, it's modern, very clean and very spacious. I would have very happily stayed longer and I wish more motels offered this kind of value. If there was one tiny thing I would change it would be not have small plastic toiletry bottles so that it's less environmentally wasteful, but I can just not use them so that's not a criticism. Also, they offered separated rubbish which is also not seen enough in most motels. Very close to the beautiful national park.

We stayed at Room 12 we had the view of the snow capped mountain, comfy super king bed and sky tv. Spa is great especially after our full day of tramping but I will suggest a bit of privacy. The room is excellent for everything! We barely used the heating as the room itself is well insulated. Bathroom & kitchen have floor heating. Walking distance to supermarket and close to town centre. Very satisfied!

Our room was very quiet, we didn't notice any noise at all. We didn't buy breakfast, normally we take our own cereal with us.

Firstly are you on a noisy road or train line? How much extra is the cooked breakfast What is a heat pump?
Answer from jtk1991
Stratford, New Zealand112 contributions7 helpful votes
Hi Christine, we are located next to a main highway and railroad however our property is designed so it is facing away from this area and have invested in sound proofing for our room. Other properties in Stratford have the same problem so you will find we will have the quietest rooms in the district. In regards to heat pumps, they are our room heating and cooling systems. Cooked breakfasts are $17 each. Let me know if you need any further assistance. Regards Jason.
