While the Potters is very picture postcard perfect from the outside, what real makes this hotel, bar & restaurant for me is the staff! Craig, Ollie, Caroline, Ella and all the others (sorry if I haven’t named you individually) are friendly, efficient and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for these dedicated Ambassadors of hospitality. I thank you very much for looking after me every time I stay.

Very nice hotel in a lovely location. We were really impressed with the restaurant and food in particular. The rooms are looking a little tired but still nice. All staff were very pleasant so would definitely use this hotel again for the excellent value for money.

First impressions when arriving, lovely newly thatched roof, restaurant and bar looks very nice, walking corridor to room my heart sunk, very old, unfortunately rooms very dated and tired and in need of a refurbishment, returned to reception to be offered a Executive room which apart from cleaner carpets and a slightly better bathroom still no good. Decided not to stay and requested and received full refund.

Visited with friends for an evening meal. Restaurant did not appear to be busy but we saw plenty of staff wondering round. The service however was really poor. The food was very ‘ordinary’ indeed. and certainly not worth the cost. Then waited a ridiculous amount of time for someone to clear our plates whilst waiters stood chatting at the bar. No puddings or coffee’s offered

Stayed at Potters Heron for 2 nights. Attractive approach and plenty of parking. Reception area pleasant but unwelcoming staff, too busy talking to each other, had to wait to be attended to. Room was dark, depressing and quite dirty, several ancient cobwebs, Bathroom was fine. Corridor window and surround were unbelievably filthy!! Food in restaurant was OK only, breakfast was OK, but like to be served at least with tea and coffee. Went for an excellent meal at local pub 2nd night. Some staff need customer service training, glad to go home!
