Why oh why wasn't the sun loungers cleaned before it opened. Ruined our relax time with friends by power washing the loungers every day!!! It only opened a week before, surely loungers should have been cleaned before opening. Ruined our catch up with friends!!

Food is ok but luke warm, typical all inclusive style, there is something for everyone but nothing to rave about. Rooms are basic but clean. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Pool area is again ok but could do with a good clean of the concrete floors. Yes it's on the beach but if you want a bed you have to pay €5. The beach is gravel but was nice to go on. The queues at the bar are ridiculous due to shortage of staff. The indoor bar is closed due to covid. Pool towels are available but you have to pay €20 deposit each towel. They can be changed on a Monday for free or any other day at €1. Lots of Spanish come for long weekends so busy then. All nationalities there. No smoking in the hotel grounds but ok on balcony. The strip between the hotel and beach is a pleasant walk. Not much going on outside the hotel but again that's due to covid. The Spice Hut Indian restaurant in the village is amazing, other than that I can't really say there were many good places to eat. Whilst rated 4 star its more like a 3 star. Mainland Spain just isn't for us. Wouldn't come back but we did have a chilled holiday and thankful for that.

We have just recently returned from this hotel after our holiday to Menorca was cancelled . I was a little nervous as we got near to arrival date with the lack of English reviews in 2021 and in the week before the multiple 1 star reviews from the Spanish . However our stay was not as bad as feared. The hotel is about 45 minutes transfer from the airport and check in was fine , although if a lot of guests arrived at the same time the check in queues stretched out of the door onto the street . We were on the 4th floor and couldn't argue with the room as it was spacious and large bathroom with an excellent view , there is a TV which shows 3 English channels. Downside is there were only 2 lifts working when we first arrived and because of Covid there is limited capacity in the lifts . However the hotel could do with some sprucing in general mainly in the corridors and outside paintwork.
There is a lovely promenade outside of the hotel which is about 18km long . There are bars and shops all around the hotel , but sadly looks like a lot of the bars may never open because of the pandemic

The hotel is very Covid safe and whilst walking around indoors are queuing at the bars and for food masks are mandatory . Staff where masks all the time . The indoor bar was closed because of Covid, which doesn't makes sense when you can walk around the indoor restaurant freely . This means you have to get drinks from the outside bar and there were incredible lines to get served with only 3 people serving . The hotel also operates a token scheme for plastic glasses which does take some getting used to but does prevent plastic glasses littering around the hotel Unfortunately most of the drinks are flat as they don't use enough C02
Entertainment was held outside and we saw 2 live acts and there were shows performed by the animation team which was so / so .
At the weekend the hotel becomes a destination for Spanish families and it definitely becomes crowded and noisy particularly in the main restaurant , after that it becomes very quiet
The hotel has 2 pools , the main one near the bar and the much smaller and quieter pool near the snack bar where we tended to reside
The real let down for this hotel was the quality of the food. you can find something edible from 8.00 to 10.00 in the evening either at the main restaurant or snack bar. Breakfast is the best of the offerings , but quality of meals is substandard, cold mushy vegetables and the food from the grill was tough ( and on 2 occasions was served raw food from the grill) as mentioned before it can be noisy and crowded in the evening and we chose to eat on the outside patios most nights and also eat outside of the hotel towards the end of out stay .The standard of the food is definitely not of a 4 star standard
On the plus side the weather was exceptional whilst we were there,
I doubt we would return unless there was an exceptional price which are currently on offer until the end of the season

Got a cheap deal with Ryan Air (bogf) never been to Almeira so thought why not.
The hotel was better than expected, the beds are like memory foam, very comfy.
Room was cleaned every day, towels etc changed daily.
Not sure about other comments but carpets in hallways were like new so might of been done recently, room had marble floor tiles and was very clean, we stayed in room 621, which had the sun on the balcony from sunrise till about 1pm.
Only 1 English channel on TV and that was 24hr news, I took my firestick so could watch what I wanted.
The food is OK, slightly repetitive, as other have said, a lot of pork and fish, but did have rabbit stew and chicken curry every other day, but had a massive selection of salads fruit and desserts.
We did eat out twice for a change, there's a Romanian restaurant about 3 miles away in a village that was simply amazing, had a rack of ribs and the biggest ox burger I've seen. Cost about €10 each way in a taxi.
We visited the gran plaza shopping mall a few times, €1.30 each way on the bus, bus stop right outside of hotel and run roughly every 30min in the day, every hr in the evenings.
The go karts roqueta were brilliant, go on a Friday when it's double your minutes, 14min for the price of 7.
There is a games room with air hockey, pool tables, table football and a basket ball machine.
Nice little gym also.
Hardly anyone spoke any English but learn the basic words and they will help as much as they can.
All the staff were amazing, except a chef in a red/violet jacket that looked like he took the Mickley out of guest's,
There were 2 people behind the bar that were amazing, a middle aged man (about 50) in the main bar that was very friendly, my son kept on having San Francisco cocktails but he never moaned even when busy, the other was a nice lady that served us in the outside bar.
Overall, I would not take my son again to Almeira/roquetas, as its too quiet, but would definitely take my partner to this hotel for a relaxing time away.

First impression was very good our plane was 2 hours late but at the hotel we found that the dining times were differant and accomodated us very well, the food was very welcome we had also checked in by this time. Our room request through the travel agent did not get to the hotel and so we had a room which was,nt exactly what we would have like but after speaking to the manager in reception she kindly allowed us to move and we were much happier.
Rooms are quite large and comfortable, very modern. The corridors are much in need of decorating, lifts are adequate, one thing to keep in mind is that if you want a top floor room its an up grade and you will have to pay 16 euros a night!
Entertainment was based mainly on Spanish theme and for us not that great, kiddies disco is at 9pm till 10pm then adults start.because of the time we were there outside bar was closed at 7pm and everyone went inside for the warmer surroundings the isde bar was very large.
Bar service and staff were great, a system of 2 drinks by each person was in place as was vouchers to get your drink in a glass, take the glass back you get the voucher back for the next drink.
Food started off the week very nice but by the end of the week it was we have to say terrible, very poor choice , everything covered in garlic. On last day breakfast we saw cock roaches.
Location of the hotel was very good and walking to shops and restaurants etc was a few minutes away.Public transport was extremely cheap and reliable.
Television channels in the room are very limited for the English we found 4 channels but all of them were just news.
Hotel wifi was really good considering, a password is needed but signal was strong enough every where.
Would we go back? I have to say NO, I don,t understand the rating given by Jet2 unless of course the hotel is much better in the high season?

Pleasant enough hotel. Quick check in for us. . Had a lovely view of the beach, and pools. Hotel is kept clean in public areas. The maids are busy and do cut corners, our daughters bedding wasn’t changed all week! Towel change seem erratic. Stayed B&B and breakfast was plentiful and good variety. . Not an English tea bag anywhere sadly and no kettle in rooms. Main pool area is nice,I didn’t like the look of the quiet pool as no view either. Sun loungers are rammed around both pools so in peak season be like a sardine in a tin!. Hotel has gates giving direct access to the beach. Sun loungers available all along the beach for 5 euros per person/day. Gripes are, that if you are not AI or Spanish you are a 2 nd class citizen. We aren’t fond of ‘entertainment’ at these resorts, which is just as well as it wasn’t inclusive of us! It goes on late and is very loud, don’t expect an early night! I have no idea of the bar menu was or prices as this was not displayed anywhere. Used the 1 water machine to replenish our bottles whilst around the pool, plastic reusable cups are supplied. . The safe has a 3 euro/day charge. If you use the toilets by the snack bar and aren’t wearing an AI wrist band, the security guard will ask you Every Time where you are going…very rude and embarrassing! Air conditioning in our room was rubbish. Corridors do need the carpets replacing.. Overall we had a pleasant stay but wouldn’t go back to Spain personally and definitely not in the height of summer!

Nice hotel, great beach front location. Rooms are a nice size, cleaned daily if you needed it and each room had a small fridge. Decent sized bathroom with a walk in shower.

The restaurant was a good size, always able to find something to eat, even my daughter who is really picky. It could get extremely busy at certain times so we tended to visit not long after it opened for each meal time. Staff worked really hard to ensure minimal waiting times to be seated. On several occasions members of our group found dirty plates and glasses at the self serve drink stations.
Bacon at breakfast was undercooked and tasted like spam, otherwise everything else was fine. I recommend the fresh made pancakes, omlettes were cooked on request.

The entertainment was 95% Spanish with little to no translation in English, very disappointing for a hotel of this size and 4 star rating. Daytime entertainment was the same, plenty of activities for children and adults to get involved in but once again nothing translated for English guests.

There is a small bar up the road called Lillies bar if you want to watch English Premier league games etc, very friendly staff and we got told they do an excellent Sunday dinner. There's also a great bar across the road from the hotel which stays open until around 3am if anyone likes a couple of drinks after all inclusive finishes at 12.

Nice hotel but would not return. Booked our holiday with Jet2 who need to make people aware of the high Spanish occupancy and also the limited number of staff who can speak English. Only people we came across were a lady on the reception desk, a couple of the entertainment team and one gentleman behind the bar. It can be extremely difficult to get your point across, even so much as trying to order a drink or book the courtesy room on day of departure.

Went for a long weekend with the kids last week, very reasonably priced ( 1 quibble though will mention at the end) Extremely clean and all Covid precautions taken on entering hotel, very efficient check in, went to room, very nice but the balcony had bars which was a concern for my 2 year old and his climbing! So back to reception and the lovely Marta there, who spoke perfect English, gave us another room with the larger glass style balcony. Rooms looked newly renovated very nice decor and very clean. Views are spectacular from the rooms right overlooking Nido beach and the Med sea.
Pools are brilliant especially for the kids, allways something going on around the pool entertainment etc.
Food was good but even after 4 days you do tend to get a little fed up with it although every night they had a different "theme".
Night time entertainment was good fun also, live acts very entertaining for all.
Great stay guys I highly recommend this hotel and a special mention to Marta, thank you for being so helpful with everything, brilliant kids had a great time.
My only gripe is dont use the hotel parking it is €12 a day and €20 deposit for the barrier "clicker" there is plenty of parking around the hotel.

We went as a family of 7 including 2 young children, the hotel was lovely and clean and modern, couldn’t fault the rooms as they where big enough for the 4 of us, the staff where friendly but unfortunately spoke very little English and couldn’t understand a word we where saying, the hotel seems like it is more for the Spanish than English and I wouldn’t really say it was a family friendly hotel and seems like it’s more for returning regulars, the food in my opinion is very poor, not very hot and seems the same every night, very limited choice for kids and one night there was nothing at all my kids could eat. The pool area was kept very clean and when we went there was plenty of beds to choose from, unfortunately as we where new to the hotel we didn’t know there was a calming pool and got some very dirty looks of other guests when we took are kids in the biggest pool there, we basically got told of another guest to use the pool round the corner as it was more kid friendly, she might as well of told us to do one, it made me and my family feel very uncomfortable and as a family friendly hotel think it is a little uncalled for that you can’t even take your kids in the biggest pool there. We didn’t get to see any of the entertainment on a night as it didn’t start till 22:00 and is very late for my girls which was a shame. The mini Hollywood is a must we had a lovely day there, the aquarium is a definite no and is a rip off, we spent 20 minutes in there for €117.
Unfortunately I don’t think we would return to the hotel or the area as we felt quite unwelcome as we where English, had a lovely holiday but mostly thanks to my family and the things we found to do not jet2.

The positives first. Good location, great view from room which was comfortable with a good bed and nice bed linen, unfortunately that is it for the positives.

The hotel is in dire need of a good clean, the carpets on the corridor floors( all floors) were filthy and needed pulling up and burning!! I understand COVID has had an impact but you can’t class yourself as a 4**** hotel without at least basic cleanliness. The food was disgusting always cold, if you like pork for lunch and dinner everyday you would probably get by but if it was cooked on the griddle sometimes it was raw. They ran out of butter, no eggs at all one morning, no cappachino in the machines in the dining room thank god for the spar down the road at least I could have a crisp sandwich for my tea when I couldn’t find anything else to eat. The fruit was always good and although I don’t eat them there appeared to be some decent desserts.

They didn’t do a lot of cleaning round the quiet pool but the pool man did check the water quality everyday so a big plus there. Unfortunately there was only one bar available so at times it was very crowded no social distancing whatever, and a long wait in a queue to be served, the bar staff did their best but the whole hotel was understaffed.

We waited a long time for this holiday, fortunately we met some lovely people who saved what would have been an awful stay in a mediocre hotel
