One of the very best places we stayed in. We came here longing for delicious Italian food, good wine,
friendly atmosphere, peace and quiet and got so much more! I don’t know what the best thing about Renello is. Is it the food that is simple, yet so exquisite, made from the very best local ingredients ? Or is it the wine that comes here from Tuscany that Andrea can spend hours talking about? Or is it the beautiful villa we stayed in, with its traditional Tuscan decor, solid wood furniture, combined with modern touches? Or is it the view spreading over Tuscany we got to enjoy every day? Perhaps the 10,000 Olive Trees growing in this farm, creating unforgettable landscape and fresh breeze? No, the best thing about Renello are it’s people - the lovely family looking after us, the other guests, the people who work here. They made our stay so relaxed and so easy. We loved every second of being here. This holiday was as Italian as it can get - food, wine, sunshine, loads and loads of home made olive oil, spectacular short drives to Pienza, Montepulciano and a little further aufteilend, to Florence. It is a working farm producing olive oil, breeding horses, growing its own vegetables. You can go on a truffle hunt with some very cute dogs, or take a boat ride on a nearby lake. (In secret you can feed Zara, a beautiful dog, tiny bit of sausage under the table, but don’t tell anyone :)) This place is an oasis of calm, it is charming and modern. We loved the presence of the owner and his beautiful wife but his two children clearly stole the show! It is clear to us they brought a lot of modern ideas, even more passion and endless enthusiasm to this place. They are as professional and friendly as it can get. A week here is not enough so we already booked for next year.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon & had the best time! To be fair, we did stay at more lavish, "aesthetic" rooms throughout our trip to Italy (we were in Lavanda which was simple & clean, but nothing fancy), but this place was still a highlight! The grounds were beautiful & location was great - we drove all over: Montepulciano, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, etc. But the hospitality was unmet! Andrea, the food & wine connoisseur whose family runs this place, was the absolute best - preparing dinners, making recommendations (that were all our favorite things we did on our trip), & teaching & leading us through a wine tasting class offered on site. That was one of my favorite things we did in our 2 weeks in Italy since I learned about wine tasting as I never had before (Andrea is certified - he knows what he's talking about). It was also nice to meet and spend time with other guests who were staying here, too. If you like relaxed traveling, that feels like you're part of the family, enjoy meeting new people & want to be close to all Val d'Orcia has to offer, 10/10 would recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Agriturismo Renello. Stop your research and just book it. You won't be disappointed. After having a friend recommend Renello, I did just that. What a beautiful place. We booked just a few weeks in advance and ended up with the only room they had left which was next to the restaurant. Due to where it is located, it's easily confused by other guests as staff services. We had someone try to give us their laundry for washing and another person walked in thinking it was part of the restaurant. Regardless, the room was simple, comfortable and nice. I loved how dark and peaceful it was at night. The bed was comfortable and there was ample closet space. If we are lucky enough to visit Renello again, we'll look to stay in a cottage. They looked lovely.
The views and land are spectacular and you are able to walk/explore all of it. We enjoyed a beautiful morning walking through the olive tree orchard.
Breakfast is served outside on the most beautiful patio and is delicious. We highly recommend partaking in the BBQ dinner and/or dinner at least once. Andrea is a wonderful chef who prepares family dinners for those who are interested. It is a set three-course menu and you pay extra for beverages. For the BBQ dinner, he prepared t-bone steaks in the Florence style, over fire coals and rare. It was amazing. Everything was farm fresh.
Book your stay at Renello. You will love it!

Our 4-day stay at Agriturismo Renello was the highlight of our recent two week trip to Italy. It was truly a taste of heaven on earth! The staff was so very friendly and accommodating, the facility was both amazingly beautiful and extremely functional. There were seven people in our group and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt at home and almost like part of the family that runs Renello. The dinners and breakfasts at the Agriturismo were out of this world, the special events like the cooking class, olive oil tasting and truffle hunting were fantastic and are now memories we will cherish forever. If you're looking for a relaxing, enjoyable and truly memorable experience in Italy, look no further than the Agriturismo Renello.

We arrived at Renello way before our check in. We hadn't had breakfast. They went out of their way to prepare a breakfast for us even though their breakfast time was over.
I participated in their cooking class which was fun. The best part was making pici pasta. We did it from scratch. We ate at Renello that night and had the pasta we made. The dinner was delicious and inexpensive including some Chianina roast beef. We ate outdoors...beautiful weather and setting.
We did an olive oil tasting and lecture the next morning. Giacomo Godone, the owner, conducted the class. We learned a lot. He was very, very knowledgeable.
If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, my husband and I would highly recommend Agriturismo Renello. We would go there again!!

What a wonderful place to relax an encounter Tuscany. The hosts Giacomo and Andrea understood how important it is to treat a guest well. Oil and Wine Tasting as well as dinner, breakfast and BBQ are exquisite. Even they organized some horse riding for my daughter.

Our family of twelve just stayed at The Renello’s for a week. Aged from one to seventy one…. Our stay was a total positive. The views, accommodations, food, extra activities we could sign up for and staff were outstanding. Always something to do or just to relax where the choices! The only thing that was upsetting was when we had to leave. This is one place I would happily go back to visit.

Thank you for a great visit! We wish we could have stayed longer, as the property and the room were both very comfortable. Thank you for the great meals and the wine tasting experience. Andrea taught me more about red wine in two hours than I learned over the past forty years. We will be back.

Eleven of us stayed at the large apartment in the main house of Renello Agritursimo. Giacomo, Rossella, and Laura were fabulous hosts! The apartment was spacious and lovely! We had three wonderful meals there,I have never tasted such delicious tomatoes. The barbecue was especially nice. We went truffle hunting with dogs, did a lot of exploring in the neighboring hill towns. This farm is perfect, the hosts outstanding and it was truly a wonderful week!!! Thank you so much, we would love to come back!

During our travels in Italy in September 2014, Renello was the absolute highlight. It gave us the experience of real family and real life in Tuscany. We wanted to stay in a charming place that was old, classic Tuscan construction. Renello fit the bill and more. Giacomo and Rosella are so welcoming. We stayed in the Lavender room for three nights. It is well-kept, clean and fresh. And the grounds of the estate are breathtaking. Olive groves and trees gushing with different fruits -- figs, pears, apples. I took walks on the grounds and picked fruits right off the trees...for the first time discovering how amazing really fresh fruits taste. And then there is Rosella's cooking. The homemade dinners in the courtyard of the family home are perfection. Authentic recipes, local ingredients and lots of love and care in the preparation. My husband and I are foodies, and we were blown away by the home-crafted red wine by Giacomo and course after course of delicious Tuscan foods by Rosella. And there were the mornings...wonderful coffee, fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, yogurts, whatever we could want, Rosella would have it for us. On our second day, she found out we love eggs, and from then on, fresh beautifully scrambled golden eggs on our morning plates. And when we asked for guidance on how to spend our days in the epic Tuscan hill country, the family was excited to assist with recommendations as well as directions. But even more than all of these delights, what truly made our time at Renello special is the people who welcomed us into their home and took such great care of us. We will never forget the evenings spent in the family courtyard, talking and laughing and drinking wine under the stars with our hosts. Vacations are all about memories. And, for us, we will always remember Renello as Heaven on Earth.
