To wash in a tiny sink, you have to straddle the toilet. Bravo the architect. Breakfast: it lacked everything: bread, yogurt pastries .. All served without tray, in disposable dishes. Hello sustainable development. For the place, it's better to go sit in the parking lot.
You really have to want and need to sleep to book this Pension. We got the Impression that the receptionist tried to scam us or she's incompetent. No toilet paper in the reception toilet: ah there are more? To die laughing 👎👎👄
When we arrived, the parking lot was filled with industrial cars and 15-20 road workers fresh from a hard day's work (you know the type of gentlemen) sitting outside smoking and getting drunk. The smoke that filled the parking lot, the lobby and could even be smelled in the room I visited when I was requesting to cancel my booking were not the worst part though. It was the lewd ogling to which they subjected the few women walking by - to which I was not willing to subject my wife and teenage daughter who waited in the car.
Therefore, I politely requested to cancel my booking but was met with a "computer says no" attitude and my reasons for wanting to back out of this hotel were disregarded by the manager.
I understand, as the manager informed me, that these kinds of gentlemen are the hotel's main clients, and that is perfectly OK. Considering that I was there with family and woke up three times during the night as these clients came and went with "acquired companionship" of their own I do however believe it should be somehow indicated on the platforms the hotel advertises. That is in fact the point of leaving this review, i.e. indicating that this is not a hotel for family people or people who appreciate a good and uneventful sleep.
For the price, we expect much better, even I am willing to bet that the prices have been deliberately inflated for the Rugby World Cup.
Breakfast is classic for this type of hotel.
The staff does not exude joy of life but strives to welcome customers properly.
Plus secure parking on site.
May be suitable for one night but not more.
I stayed here for one night during Euro 2016 - at a price that was about four times the standard rate. Presumably all the hotels in Bordeaux did the same.
What did I get for this exorbitant amount of money?. A bed, with a roof. With a small toilet. And a shower in the toilet. At least it had wifi - patchy though it was.
Check-in was a nightmare. My booking had been 'lost' and they were full! But after much persistence and threats to report them to every online booking site, it was mysteriously 'found'!!
Anything positive? Well, the Bordeaux tram was within walking distance. That's about it
I called booking to see if they could help me, and they didn't success...and after 3 hours i just had to get another hotel...2am
I'm still waiting for this thiefs to refound the money that they stole me for that night...
LADRONES SIN VERGÜENZAS
Horrible attention, horrible management, and overall one of my worst experiences ever.
