Detailed Reviews
Whilst fairly close to the national park, this accommodation is perhaps better suited to those travelling by car. I arrived at Plitvicka Jezera, only to find out I'd have to get a bus to a campsite and walk from there. Only 1.5-2.0km to be fair, but not ideal with heavy luggage (which I had). Plus you have to walk along a main road, with no pavement, for most of the way.
The room was pretty basic. Unfortunately the internet in the room failed to work, and to access wifi you have to sit in the main reception.

Looks like hotel stalag 13! Hotel overall is basic and dated but rooms are large, clean, comfortable and our shower was excellent. The hotel staff were very pleasant, as were the staff in the shop who packed us off with lunch both days. The breakfast is fairly dire and the receptionist we asked gave us wrong information about walks at the lakes, which considering this hotel is run by (or at least booked through) the national park seems odd. The hotel should be selling the park map (20 kuna from the info desk) which seem to be the best kept secret. We ate at a restaurant a short walk away towards the park that was excellent.

We stayed two nights in mid-September in this hotel's spartan but clean rooms. The staff gave a friendly welcome at the front desk, the bar, and the attached minimart. The hotel provides a bus to the park in the morning and from the park in the late afternoon, necessary because this hotel is over three miles from the Plitvice NP on an un walkable main road. (We booked through the Plitvice Lakes Park website and this was the closest hotel with vacancy even though we reserved about 2 months in advance.) Note that one advantage of booking a hotel listed on the park website is that the hotel can stamp your park entrance ticket for a free second day at the park. Our room (111) was a large double, quiet, very reasonably priced, and overlooked a cute playground for children that had miniature cabins to play in, as well as a seesaw. Breakfast was varied, with cakes (layer and lemon), muffins, and local cheeses; scrambled eggs (ice cold both mornings though); cold cuts; yogurt; regular coffee, espresso, macchiato etc. from a machine; rolls; fruit. Dining room ambiance was so institutional-feeling that we walked to a nearby restaurant instead of eating at the hotel. All in all, a workable hotel choice , but we would have preferred to stay closer to the park.

We were a group of 18 people and I think we could have gotten a better one. Our room key got stuck in the door lock, had to wait until someone to could pull it out. The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, which was a complete turn off for me. The hotel staff was nice and friendly though.

The hotel is Motel Six plain I’d rate it 2 Star, 69 euros double with breakfast (10/08). Maybe a better choice are rooms in private homes with maybe a balcony and view for $15 per person. From the parking lot you drag your bags up one flight of stairs, past an ATM machine to the lobby. The good news is all the rooms are the next floor up so you only have one more flight of stairs to go. No bellboys or elevators. A single 2’X4’ operable dormer window, two chairs and a desk. Heating appears to be individually controllable. Sky News and BBC news, no internet access but there is a free wi-fi internet café close by. No Kleenex, no safe, minibar, wash cloths or coffee maker

A hotel from the 70/80:s that had a calm and peaceful atmosphere. A good place to relax before / after visiting the nature park. Check-in was fast and we got 2 double rooms that were quite spacey and very clean. Comfortable bed. The service at the hotel and the restaurant was good - kind and helpful. Good breakfast that was included in the price. Free wifi (although quite slow) and parking outside the hotel. There was a mini-market in the same building where you can find most things needed for a day in the Plitvice park. I think the the price / value rate was good and would recommend this hotel, perfect for a shorter stay and relatively close from the park (10 minutes drive).

Yes, at first glance it looks like a hotel dating back to the times of the Socialist Republic, but when we entered we received a warm welcome by a receptionist that spoke excepionally good English. He gave us all the information about National Park Plitvice we could wish for. Thanks to him we could visit the park for two days on one ticket. The park entrance is at 8 kilometer from the hotel.
The rooms have been modernised and are spatious. Although a big noisy group arrived that evening we slept very good. Breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Croatia. The hotel has a nice garden at the back.

Staff speaks good english. Rooms and hotel are really outdated, Not really much choice in breakfast. Some buns, ham and cheese and some fruit. Also some scrambled eggs. Quality is ok, but not really high standard.
Restaurant is also outdated. But food is ok. Staff in the restaurant is very nice and polite. We were the only ones eating there, next to another couple. They don't speak good english, but were willing to take their time to understand us. We finally managed in german.
We did have free wifi, since our room was directly located above the lobby.
Conclusion: Hotel is ok if you're passing through. But don't expect too much since most of the furniture is really outdated and not really nice to look at. Reception speaks good english, but afterwards nooone asked us how our stay was at the Hotel. Reception attandent, barely looked at us and just gave us the invoice,

We came from Porec with 2 children, and had some laundry, about 2 kilo.
The hotel was really out-dated, the staff was friendly but i think they rented out 3 rooms at that time. When we checked out they charged us E75 for laundry, which were 2 big towels and some kids underwear.. We could have bought everything new for that price!!
