Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is a fabulous B&B in Cromwell - well located for the old heritage part of the town a brisk walk or short drive to the supermarket and close to the Mall and old town restaurants. I cannot praise our hosts enough - they have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. They have the most beautiful home and the guest rooms are wonderful a good size with excellent modern bathrooms that have been designed to a high spec. I was so impressed with the level of privacy and the facilities and seating areas available to guests. We will certainly recommend to friends and we would love to go back!

The Bungalow Bed and Breakfast in Cromwell is a cut above the rest. I have stayed in several B & B's in New Zealand, and this place is worth a visit. The owner, Christine is friendly, helpful and seeks feedback from her guests. The location is in central Cromwell, a short drive to picturesque Arrowtown and many well known wineries.
The rooms were warm, beds were super comfortable, and the cute living room an added bonus. Definitely recommend to others thinking of staying in Central Otago.

GREAT wee place to stay. Super welcoming owners, great setup, cosy and comfy. I felt truly valued and looked after, and absolutely would not hesitate to stay here again! As a single female, I especially appreciated that booking one room meant that the other room was not let for the night. I also really appreciated the thoughtful brekkie and the BEST shortbread (I love shortbread so it deserves a special mention!).

Thank you for a great stay!!

We stayed at the Bungalow when my parents were visiting from overseas. My mother doesn't walk very well and this place was perfect. We wanted a comfortable place that was central to the town of Cromwell. We were able to use both of the rooms, plus there is a sitting / dining room. The bath tub in one of the bathrooms was glorious with enough room for two. We requested breakfast and a lovely tray was provided each morning with plenty for the four of us. The hostess is very pleasant and accommodating. We were even able to extend our stay a few days. The location was good for walking to the Cromwell Historic Precinct, heading to Bannockburn, plus close to city centre. We were able to visit two of our favourite Otago vineyards - Carrick and Wild Earth. When we go back to Cromwell we'll definitely see if The Bungalow is available. Just a note about something we've noticed about B & B's in NZ. For the most part the breakfasts aren't as hearty as we have experienced in the US. Although it was not a cooked meal (that we rarely find in NZ), we appreciated The Bungalow breakfast offerings.

Our party of 4 stayed here for 10 days, and we were very impressed with this B&B. The accommodation was ideal for us, 2 couples, as we took both bedrooms on our visit. The largest was next to the wonderfully appointed bathroom, and my wife was very impressed with the spa bath. The other bedroom was ensuite and ideal for my daughter and her husband. Everything is immaculate, tastefully decorated and has all of the facilities you will need. We particularly liked the barbecue and used it a couple of times in the sheltered garden. We also enjoyed the free homemade cookies and cakes provided. Christine and Bill are perfect hosts, friendly without being intrusive, keen to help with local recommendations and really nice people. We could not have asked for more and will stay in touch for our next visit.
