Disliked · Advertised air conditioning but only had cheap fan in room. Booked one extra large double bed and regular double bed and received one extra large bed and a single ( which my 6 foot special needs son had to try and squeeze into. No hand basin in bathroom to wash your hands. When checking out was not asked if I had enjoyed my stay or any nice conversation. Only words spoken to me were did I use anything from the mini bar.

Loved this place. Unit was very spacious. Massive bathroom with a huge walk in shower. The place was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was huge and super comfortable. Loved having the wee balcony with table and chairs out front for a place to chill. Handy to all amenities and the staff were delightful and very obliging. They really go the extra mile. Best place to stay in Central Otago hands down. We've been many times before and we'll definitely be back again.

Having stayed at the in December and again in January I cannot fault this as a great base for exploring central Otago and the lakes. Our first stay was in late December for a family members Wedding. The reception was held at the harvester and the evening was a great success. The food was outstanding with a great selection of sides and accompaniments. Waitering staff were quick and efficient and the whole evening was a great success. The rooms are large and have a big balcony which is great for enjoying one of the local Pinot noir on a sunny afternoon. Beds were very comfortable and great pressure on the shower which is a must. The Jewel with this hotel is the outlets for food and Beverage. Breakfast and lunch is in the Forage Café, Great personal service and food is great quality, Smashed Avocado with poached egg was the breakfast staple – what a great presentation and flavour. For evening the five stags restaurant and bar was a great place with attentive staff and great locally sourced dishes. We enjoyed it so much we returned as it was a great base for exploring the area. In all the outlets and in Housekeeping the staff here have been brilliant, personal and always willing to go out of their way to make you feel welcome. On a side note they also rent out mountain bikes so you can enjoy the many cycle tracks around the lake and up into neighbouring towns.

My husband and I recently got married in cromwell and had our reception at the harvest hotel as well as many of our guest stayed at the accommodation. From the start with wedding planning right up to the day after our wedding, Tia and her team went above and beyond for us, always available to answer questions and help in anyway possible. Everything was made simple and easy, and would hands down be the most stress free part of our wedding. The reception was decorated beautifully and our guest raved about how delicious and fresh their meal on the night was. The accommodation was superb, clean and comfortable and of course ideal being right next to the reception made getting home no issue. I couldn't reccomend the Harvest Hotel more! Thank you so much Tia and team, you made our day one we will never forget!
