Three of us stayed for two nights and just loved it !!! This is a property with a little bit of a difference...three very comfy and spotlessly clean suites adjoin the owners residence and wrap around a glorious pool and courtyard. It has a wonderfully homely feel and the delightful owners make you feel like old friends. It will definitely be our place of choice for future visits to Cromwell.

We only stayed one night. It created the standard that future accommodation needed to live up to. Our spacious studio room had an extra bedroom which was handy for storing luggage. The bathroom had a heated floor and heated mirror to prevent fogging, with lovely fluffy towels. The bed was comfortable and had really good pillows. Tea and coffee facilities plus a microwave , small fridge and toaster. No separate kitchen sink, but fine if you don't plan to do more than toast and coffee. Highly recommend.

I stopped here for one night, I just wish it had been for longer. Beautifully comfortable room, walking distance of the town centre. Off street parking and a swimming pool. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Cromwell was a stopping off point. It's not the greatest of places but this was a comfortable room. The check-in process was very smooth. The only draw backs were the ack of proper cooking facilities and that the property is on a road with a surprising iamount of traffic and resultant noise.

There is a small outdoor pool but given the time of year, it wasn't available.

We spent four nights at this place because we intended to do many Central Otago Pinot Noir tastings and needed a centrally located accommodation.
We arrived there in the early afternoon of a very warm day.
Our self contained room was just in front of the swimming pool. A dream.
The owner understood we were ready for a swim. He spontaneously uncovered the sun-heated pool and we jumped in. Paradise!
There is also a spa but we preferred to swim.
We didn't know that there is a gas barbecue that guests may use. The owners did everything they could to make our life easy using their BBQ.
Just five minutes walk from the Escape, there is a New World large supermarket. That's very convenient.
The accommodation does not included breakfast but there is a large living room with a table, chairs, cutlery, napkins, a microwave oven, a toaster, etc where we prepared and had our continental breakfast.
The terrace is large and has a wooden table for six. That's where we ate our barbecues.
A couple of times it happened that the owners came chat with us before or after our meals.
They are very pleasant people and it is good to talk to them.
The Escape sits on a street that is, in fact, a road. Therefore, in the morning there is some traffic but that didn't prevent us from sleeping well.
One last detail: our room and bathroom were designed and equipped to welcome disabled guests. This is rare and deserves mentioning.

It is very rare to find accommodation with the spa pool so we made us of it. The bed was very comfortable. Sally is very friendly and is very proud of their Bed and Breakfast home. They keep it spotless. I loved looking at the interesting plants in the garden. A great place to stay and i would highly recommend it for a couple.

My husband and I stayed here while we were attending a friend's wedding. The room was wonderful and it really felt like a place to escape. The location is very close to the main center of Cromwell and it's easy to walk around. We didn't have enough time to enjoy the pool and spa but they both looked very inviting. One thing to keep in mind is that it didn't actually include breakfast. Our room had a little bit of road noise (I don't think the door sealed properly) which didn't bother us but may bother you if you're a light sleeper. It's a very well kept place and I would highly recommend it!

Sally was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. The facilities were great! We enjoyed a dip in the pool and a soak in the spa. This B&B was close to all the Cromwell vineyards and township. Our room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. We most definitely would stay with Cromwell Escape again!!

My wife, son and myself stayed Cromwell Escape for a night on the 27th November 2012 for stopover on the way back to the Christchurch airport. We convinced this B&B exceeded our expectation. The room was spacious and very clean, the breakfast was excellent. More importantly, the hosts, Donald & Sally were very warm and perfect. This is why my son (6-years old, this trip was his first experience of going outside Japan) is still frequently reminiscing about the time spent in this B&B. Actually, we strongly wished we could stay more if our return flight was not fixed... We will visit there again not just for stopover but as destination. We truly recommend the Cromwell Escape.
