We stayed here overnight on a week long wine excursion through central Otago. We stayed in unit 7, studio with full kitchen, queen bed in lounge, twin beds in spare room, parking outside, beautiful grounds and apricot blooms on the trees telling us spring was near. Michelle was an awesome host. I can’t wait to come back here!!!!

We booked 5 rooms for a one night stay on our family Holiday and we couldn’t have been happier in our choice at the Cromwell Motel. Michelle was excellent to deal with right from the start when we first enquired and very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The units were comfortable, warm and very clean. Thank you Michelle and co for such a pleasant stay !

Arrived late in the afternoon only to be told that there was no accommodation in Cromwell due to several things going on in the town that weekend. The owner spent a lot of time trying to find accommodation for the 3 of us (2 bedroom unit) and finished up obtaining the last accommodation in the town for the night. We duly shifted out to this accommodation but came back for the next 3 nights. The owners could not do enough for us. The units we well fitted out including heat pumps etc. This complex is well considering for a visit to Cromwell which by the side is only 40 minutes to Queenstown 30 minutes to Wanaka and about the same to Alexandra. Very central and not costing the moon like those being asked for in the resort towns. Consider Cromwell as a base if looking at staying close to either Cromwell or Wanaka.

Hi again, i'm so pleased we were able to find you accommodation on the night and it was nice to have you stay with us for the rest of your holiday. Cromwell is a great place to base yourself so you can visit all the attractions we have to offer in Central Otago and not pay expensive rates for a room for the night. Our Moto "Spend a night not a Fortune" Look forward to seeing you all again sometime Debbie and Colin

Holes in the dirty carpet, exposed electrical wires, leaking shower, damp coming in the exterior wall, chipped and dirty paint, room not serviced during 6 day stay, after being shut up for 3 hours the unit smelled mouldy. All this for $250 per night. Disgusting. The bed bugs were an added extra - covered in bites.

Dated with few frills. No heat pump or air conditioning. Over-priced. A throw-back to the 60's with few improvements. Could be good for a retro weekend. It was clean and the bed was comfotable but was definitely a budget motel

Spacious accommodation in a spacious motel and very helpful hosts. Had to spend an extra night here due to an injury but it was a pleasure. On a tour of Southland and Otago we stayed at two excellent motels and this was one of them.

We stayed here on our bike tour from Arthurs Point to Middlemarch including the Otago Rail Trail. This place is very bike friendly with bike racks although we just put ours on the little patio in front of our unit. All the units seem to be ground floor and the 3 our group occupied (7, 8 and 9) were all large, very light and airy and I think all had room for 4 people. There is a laundry and washing line and also some nice shady lawn with BBQ and BBQ tables in the middle of the property. Very comfortable bed and such lovely soft sheets. If you aren't travelling solely with panniers you can arrange baggage pickup to/from the motel through one of the bike companies in the area.

Hotel is older, but kept up very nicely. Our teenagers loved it. Were upset they didn't have time to use the pool. Clean. Very functional. Kitchenette was perfect. The bed was so comfortable. The pillow also. Could not find a way to get them in my suitcase or would have. Owners could not have been nicer. It was a convenient stop on our way north from Te Anau after a day cruise. We will certainly stop over here next trip.

We choose to stay there on Friday 1 May as a stop over down south, choose as offered AA discount and was a reasonable priced motel. Were offered a rate of $85.00 from the manager on duty, the room was ok, small with a double in one room & twin in another. Not overlely clean - they needed to vacum behind the bed more but ok for a one night stay. The problem came when we went to check out the owner was just downright rude she refubsed the AA discount at 5 % off $85.00 not exactly a huge sum, she also wanted to charge a different rate of $95.00. We left with a very bad taste in our mouth & wished we had stayed elsewhere were our trade would have been appreciated.
