Detailed Reviews
Described as a guesthouse. I arrived late evening and discovered that they don’t supply shampoo, soap or a hairdryer. These should be basics and it was after 9pm so I couldn’t go and buy shampoo. . Will never stay there again although I visit Cromwell on and off. I wonder how many people have been caught like I was.

It was a home away from home for me for approximately 2 months when I was doing my summer internship in Cromwell. The room that I was in consist of 4 single bed with comfy mattresses which is what you need after a long day, and a large dinning area and lounge. the kitchen has everything you would need to make your meal and the bathrooms are always cleaned. It also has a washing machines and a dryer. Its a new building in a beautiful neighborhood settings.
the owners (Lynette and Mike) were very kind, I cant thank them enough. They treated me as a family during my stay, not a guest. Thank you L & M.
This place is a 'go to' when you are in Central Otago as a group or individual.

Friendly couple, newly built building and very beautiful views from the kitchen/living area but it was very disappointing to get a room with no windows where I felt like in shoe box with no oxygen.
Initially I wanted to book the room from the photo advertised on booking platforms and Google with $123/night. I thought I'll have them save to pay 15% commissions and called to book directly with them and I was told that the room is $150+ not $123. We end up to book another room to suit our budget and pay $10 in addition for the towels (the only accommodation that is charging for towels from all the other ones that I have booked for the past 13 years since I'm in NZ. The room that we have booked had NO WINDOWS 😳, and I felt right like in a shoe box with no oxygen. I thought to open the skylight hoping for some fresh air from very high up there but as it was getting cold, the heaters were no working and NO HEATPUMP either, so we end up shutting the skylight and sleep in a shoebox and waking up with a very big headache.
I'm really feel sorry to leave this review with our unplesant experience.

Sorry your stay wasn’t what you expected but to state it was like sleeping in a shoebox is overrated as our rooms are a lot bigger than some 4-5 star hotels I personally have stayed in and also no windows in them either Price wise is a lot less in fact over half the price I paid to stay in 4-5 star hotel and if you read our web site it states towels are an extra $10 due to guests traveling around NZ in the budget accommodation take them with them In fact we lost 10 in 2 days after opening 8 years ago so decided to make them a extra cost to keep our costs down We don’t turn our heaters on during summer months Nov-March and if we get a cold snap we do have heaters available if a guest request one but summers are usually very hot As for pricing we do have an ensuite self contained for around $140-150 which was obviously quoted but you requested the cheaper room and they work very well for someone traveling on a budget and beds are very comfortable for guests who are moving on Please read web site before you book next time

This is a new build. It is little more than expensive backpacker accomodation but is marketed as way more. Shared kitchen. Shared toilet and showers. Only bunks in rooms. Owner asked if i had a towel with me. No chair, table or bedside light switch. No windows. Just a dull skylight. Room stunk through lack of fresh air. Can hear everything going on in rest of building despite an assurance in publicity that walls are noise proof. I am here in a cold snap in mid summer and cannot turn on heater. Cannot believe local council has approved this property for this use. If you are here in the daytime it is right next to a car race track.... what else didn't I manage to read in the write up for this accomodation... APPALLING

I really don't know what planet you live on mate?? Been here nearly 8 years and haven't seen a BUNK?? We have NO Bunks' all single comfortable beds plus a queen Bed in the Ensuite. You obviously cannot read as Towels are an extra cost noted in booking as guests have taken them in the past and due to not being able to trace who does we decided to make them an extra cost. Yes, we have Skylights which are open and shut when it rains automatically so it may have just been a little bit of rain so probably shut as January temperatures were up there 32-36 degrees, naturally the rooms would be a little stuffy with the heat. The bedrooms all have a shelf above the bed Afterall we are not a 5 star hotel mate, cost you paid would tell you that, and there are plenty of chairs out in the dining room that you could have put into your room if you wanted one. No, we only put heating on when it is cold not when we have 32 deg dam near every day??? We do have sound proofing in the walls, but we do know it is not completely soundproof when you have children and loud talkers or party goers partying etc. but we have experienced this in 5-star hotels, noise in the corridors and rooms as we have travelled a lot. I think you should save some money and go to speck savers for glasses. You obviously saved some by coming and staying here as the cost for a bed anywhere else would have been twice what you paid me. Your review is a big joke in fact APPALLING as far as I am cioncerned.

We stayed four days in the faulcons nest and absolutely loved it! Everything was very clean, the beds comfy, the kitchen well equipped and lots of space. You need a car if you are staying there, since it is not easy to access with public transport but we used it as a base and did day trips to Quenstown, Arrowtown, Wanaka, Milford Sound etc. The owners and their neighbour were absolutley lovely and helpful- we definitely recommend staying there!

Situated right outside the new Motor Sport Track in the Technology Park is Falcon's Nest. It consists of a very large central area with kitchen, dining area and enormous lounge. Then down both sides are the sleeping rooms. I believe most sleep 6 in single beds. Underneath was a very large parking garage you can also use. Usually caters for groups of 6 or more, but they recently accepted us 3 travelling together. Everything is brand new.
