This was our 2nd winter stay at Alvor Park. We really like the well appointed apartments, where you can self cater if you like, the tranquillity of the hotel, the well maintained public areas, the manicured gardens, the friendly and helpful staff, and most of all the excellent restaurant which is operated by a local family. The hotel's location is ideal for access to both the beach and to the town without being too close to either.

Despite the Covid situation, we had a great and safe stay at this excellent hotel. Although there were very few customers staying at the hotel, we received excellent attention from all the staff. The rooms were reliably and consistently cleaned and the whole hotel is kept antiseptically clean. All rooms face the sea with one wing having pool views, the other facing over open ground towards the beach front. The gardens and the pool are kept very well maintained and the outdoor pool (although not the indoor one) was kept open despite Covid and the autumn season. the restaurant offers excellent food at very reasonable (fixed menu and a la carte) prices and the service is excellent.

Alvor Park is very well constructed with all apartments facing south with most having a wide sea view over to Lagos: the sunsets are astonishing. The 1 bedroom apartments are very comfortable and well equipped with a full cooker which is great as the local supermarkets are within a five minute walk. All of the rooms are extremely spacious. Our one bedroom apartment could genuinely cope with four people as there are two bathrooms. The whole hotel is kept scrupulously clean. The Adega restaurant, sun by Victor and his staff, serves a great buffet breakfast for 8 euros and a stunning 3 course meal with wine and water for 45 euros for two. If you want a relaxing time, this is for you. The boardwalk along the coast and nature reserve is only five minutes away. There is also a free bus to Portimão every day.

Our second stay at the Pestana Alvor Park Hotel. The apartments are spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen is adequate although it lacks a washing machine and dishwasher, so would only suit a stay of a week to 10 days up to 2 weeks maximum due to lack of laundry facilities. The kitchen inventory of utensils and crockery are also limited but there is enough to cook a few meals which we did during our 10 nights stay. The location of the hotel is excellent as its about 10 minutes' walk to Alvor Village where there are many restaurants and bars.

My wife and I returned to this hotel after our 2020 visit was cut short due to COVID restrictions took effect. The staff were exceptional then and now on our return. It was good to see staff we recognised and were able to remember us too. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like old friends and were able to exchange our two year absence with staff experiences. The food both at breakfast and evening meals was excellent and the dining deal of 3 course and a bottle of wine for 2 was tremendous value. Our room was cleaned daily and on request we were given a ground floor room with wet room style shower as my wife is struggling with mobility now! We will be returning thank you everyone.

A hotel that is well located in Alvor . The staff is very friendly notably the lady at the restaurant . The breakfast is very reasonably priced 6 Euros for a continental one and 8 euros for a full breakfast with eggs, sausages, bacon , beans and all the bread, fruits, cheese, Yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice you want . Coffee is also part of the deal. The room is also well equipped and spacious . It is a hotel that has a good sized pool both indoors and out .

Just returned from our fourth stay at the Pestana Alvor Park and what a wonderful holiday we had. This time we had booked a Superior One Bedroom Apartment and were allocated room 1405 which is on the uppermost floor. The views out over the sea and towardsLagos were stunning. The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet location a mere 10 minute stroll to either the beach or the town of Alvor. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and the duty manager on the day we arrived knew we had stated there before and commented on the fact that we had 'upgraded' from our last visit. Our apartment was kept beautifully clean and comfortable, had a large double bed, a full bathroom with a tub and a separate smaller bathroom with a shower. The grounds and pool area are maintained to a very high standard and, being out of season, there were more than enough sunbeds. Although we had arrived on a rainy day the weather improved significantly and we had 4 days of clear blue skies. Although we didn't use the hotel restaurant the menus and prices were compatible with the restaurants in town. It is an uphill walk from both the beach and the town but shouldn't be a problem unless you have significant walking difficulties. The Alvor Park will be top of the list choice for our next holiday in Portugal.

We spent a week's holiday to celebrate New Year at this hotel.
1. Location: This hotel is located in a nice area, a short walk to cafes, restaurants, market, shops etc. But, it's a nice quiet hotel with a great view.
2. Staff: Our arrival at this hotel was greated with a warm welcome from reception, in fact all the reception staff are atentive and friendly. We received a fantastic apartment which was very spacious, nice and clean, comfortable bed, excellent pillows, beautiful furniture and great balcony overlooking a small garden which was also very private.
3. Service: They offer a nice breakfast with various fresh fruits, cakes, fresh juice, nice variety of coffees and tea.Â
In the restaurant we enjoyed nice Portuguese gastronomy and wines, with reasonable prices.
We had a happy New Year's party at the hotel and overall enjoyed a nice week long holiday.
We can recommend this nice hotel.

Returned home yesterday from our first visit to Portugal. We chose Alvor Park and were very happy with our choice. The hotel is approximately 8/10 minutes walk from the beautiful long sandy beach with amazing coves with their incredible rock formations. Also, 8/10 minutes walk into Alvor centre, so the location was perfect for us. The hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and evening meals. We only had breakfast there for 9.50 euro, it was excellent. The hotel and its surroundings are kept clean and tidy, and our room was cleaned every day with used towels changed every day, and the bedding was changed at least 2 or 3 throughout our stay. George and the reception staff were all very helpful and friendly and provided us with information about the area, bus times, and car rental. We stayed in the superior studio, which was on the 4th floor, and had the best views, so it was worth paying the extra cost. There is an outdoor pool if you're brave enough to enter it at this time of year (we did) and a small heated indoor pool with a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and a small gym. The area of Alvor was beautiful with plenty of boardwalks where you can watch the wildlife. Going in January had its positives and downsides. The beaches were empty, which is how we like it, but not all restaurants were open, but there were plenty available to eat out and of course you can always eat in the hotel which has fixed menus for the evening meals. We will most definitely be returning to Alvor Park. We had such an enjoyable holiday. Thank you

We have visited Alvor a few times now and love coming back. We chose Alvor Park as pestana have a very good reputation in the Algarve. Alvor Park did not disappoint. We stayed in a 1 bedroomed Apartment on a bed and breakfast basis. This was our first trip abroad since pre pandemic and wanted a good base to stay in, with the option of cooking are own meals. The apartment was amazing. Large open plan, modern kitchen, dining and living room, with a separate toilet and shower room. The bedroom very spacious with a large bathroom, with bath and overhead shower. The Apartment was freshly decorated. Clean and with good quality furnishings. The balcony was also large and had a table with 4 chairs plus 2 sunloungers. We also had maid service every single day. Coming back from a day at the beach or by the pool to a nice clean apartment with fresh towels and cosy made bed each day was an added bonus I was not expecting. Breakfast was served from 8am until 10 am each morning. There was a nice choice of breads, pastry's, jams, fruit, cheese, yogurt. Cooked breakfast was made to order. With a choice of Bacon, sausage, eggs( anyway you liked ) beans, tomato, mushroom. The cooked breakfast was of a high quality and service was professional, warm and friendly. The hotel also served snacks during the day and provided a 3 course meal, with a bottle of wine on an Evening for under 50 Euro's. We did not eat in the restaurant, other than breakfast as we spent most of our time on the beach and ate in Alvor on an Evening. We stayed for a week in Alvor and wanted to see as much of the resort as we could. If we had stayed for 2 weeks I would have stayed in and sampled the evening meal menu. We did have one pool day. The pool and grounds are tastefully done, but the pool was a bit to cold to swim in. Would I go back to Alvor Park. Yes I most definitelywould. Loved it. Thankyou Alvor Park for making my first trip back abroad a safe and fondly remembered one.

We did take a photo but I cannot get it to upload! 74euros (for 2) for the 7 course tasting menu which has a lot of good wine and spirits; 22.50 per person for the more limited chefs choice menu at lunchtime and at dinner time.
There are more places to choose from in the Alvor area.
