Judging from some comments from 2011 below here, it seems a lot has changed. The hotel looked completely renovated, the bathroom was impecably clean and the beds were comfortable and clean. The rooms were spacious and even though it is situated close to the highway, it is really calm and peaceful.
The breakfast consisted of 2 breads of choice, a juice, a coffee and a boiled egg. All of the were fresh; the bread was soft and egg yolks were yellow (unlike some pre-boiled green eggs).
I would certainly recommend staying here as a stop over in order to arrive relaxed at your destination.
Only negative comment; the shower had a watersaving shower head which gave hard beams of water and made it feel kind of hard to wash off soap..
No AC and incredibly hot room
Smelly room
Right on the road. More for truckers who need to stay a night.
I do not recommend this at all. Needless to say, my husband is never booking another place!!!
I was a little apprehensive at first at the idea of staying at what looked like a truck stop. However, I needn't of worried. The rooms were spotless and once you have your key (check-in at the shop) there is a separate entrance for motel guests. There is an unbelievably good value buffet breakfast for €8 for motel guests at the restaurant onsite. For kiddies there is always Burgerking. There is a significant footfall of people as plenty of coaches stop at the complex but I didn't find the noise from traffic or people to be disturbing.
The best thing of all was that this hotel was only €56 for the room. I'll definitely be back as it is as convenient to legoland as hotels in Gunzburg.
Pro:
The rooms were nice and clean. Surprisingly spacious considering the price. And less than a 10 minute drive from Legoland. The location has a play ground, mini store, restaurant, and Burger King.
Tip: An Esso station is also at the location and accepts Esso Card
Con: The night shift crew. We checked in during the late evening. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating to our attempts at speaking German. I was able to check in with no issues. When my husband and I returned for dinner (8 hour drive and we did not have any tolerance left for driving) we encountered the night shift, RUDE!! I don't think is was a coincidence that the night shift -same people- both nights did not wear any name tags. Or I would have complained about them by name. Both women were incredibly disrespectful, full of attitude and annoyed to be either at work or that I existed and required service.
For the price and location if you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Legoland this is it, but beware: Do not disturb the night shift!
Reception is located inside the convenience store/restaurant. I arrived late and the only staff person there was very helpful and solicit. I just needed a place to stop in a long drive, having found the hotel before and reserved it.
Rooms are reasonably big, furniture is new (so it the building, or it appears to) and up-to-date. Cleaning is spotless. Noise insulation is very good and I didn't hear a thing from the motorway.
My only negative note: there was no remote control for the LCD TV placed there.
