We stayed for breakfast at Falkensteiner.

Ancient, dignified, house with really nice location. The breakfast buffet is more than rich & versatile. Anyway, it's big.
The staff, mainly holiday interns, are each extremely polite and courteous in their own way. High praise for that.
There is a point deduction for the food served. The poached egg, unfortunately, was cold. The bacon on the fried egg was more than cross and the mushrooms cut unappetizingly small. The pancake was served very unkindly. Pancake on white plate with maple syrup in white pot. Period. There would certainly be some room for improvement.

Overall, it was good breakfast with beautiful views of the lake on a sunny day.

Great hotel, super wellness, very good treatments. Beach club great.
Restaurant Seespitz very good food, great view, perfect ambience.
But Restaurant Atelier, terrible.....
Staff at the table every 10 minutes with a question or story, definitely not a top restaurant if you can't manage a poached egg, thick breadcrumbs around the fish, starter in a plate of sauce. Shame at €89 per menu

The service at the Seehotel deserves the highest praise. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Every request was answered promptly and with a smile, which made my time there really enjoyable. The combination of professionalism and a personal touch in the service is definitely a plus.

The hotel's beach club was undoubtedly one of my favorite places. The exclusive beach location offered the opportunity to enjoy the sun and the lake to the fullest. The beach club itself was well equipped and well maintained.

Another highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast terrace. The view over the lake during breakfast was simply gorgeous. The breakfast selection was plentiful and varied, and I couldn't have started the day better.

Overall, my stay at the Seehotel left a lasting impression. The total package of stylish ambience, excellent service, friendly staff, the first-class beach club and the magical breakfast terrace made my visit an unforgettable experience. I will definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Thanks to the entire team!

I had chosen the Falkensteiner Schlosshotel, where I wanted to organize a large birthday party later with a room reservation.
When I made my own short-term reservation by phone, I had the choice between several free suites. I agreed with the lady who made the reservation that I would initially stay in the tower suite, but could also switch to another suite on arrival - the occupancy also allows this.
Due to the flood situation, I only arrived at the Schlosshotel late in the evening, after a 14-hour drive. When I checked in, the receptionist complained that my credit card did not have sufficient funds. What had happened? He had added a daily consumption allowance of €100 to my 7-day stay, and €100 of this was not covered. I suggested paying the €100 that was not covered in cash - this was refused - I was prepared to pay €1000 - this was refused. In order to move into my suite, the receptionist demanded that I pay the entire amount for the stay plus the flat rate for food and drink in cash immediately, as partial payment would not be possible for organizational reasons.
After 14 hours of wandering through flood areas, dead tired and longing for a place to sleep, I paid the total amount in cash before I was even allowed into my suite.
The next morning I returned to reception. The tower suite was not right after all and I wanted to make use of the agreement with the reservation to change suites. I had also decided on a suitable suite straight away and informed reception. When I asked about the price of the new suite - it had been around €1000 cheaper over the last few days - I was unfortunately told that this suite was cheaper, but that since I had booked the tower suite, I would have to pay this price for the entire stay. The reference to my agreement with the reservation was laughed off.
After repeated inquiries about the nightly payment and also about the higher price for the cheaper suite, I was told that all of these things had been decided after consultation with the "Guest Services" management.
When I left early after 4 days - I didn't use 3 more days - the man from "Guest Services" suddenly appeared at reception and wanted to limit the damage, alarmed by my early departure. I made it clear to this man that he had 4 days to contact me.
I gave him not only the room card, but also my scratch card for 50 euros, to be redeemed on the next stay - which no longer exists.
At least I saved my birthday party from a lasting experience.
In conclusion, I must say that something so brazen has never happened to me before. Maximizing profits by any means possible seems to be the goal here. With a vacancy that was obvious, the priority should be more than ever to welcome the guest as a stranger and say goodbye as a friend - and not to harass the guest who is prepared to drive 1000 km to enjoy pleasant service and chase them out of the house through arrogance and dishonesty.

Suggestion:

1.) The introduction to the suite ended at the room door, where I was only told how to use the tablet to function as a keyboard. If I had any further questions, I could contact reception. - this could be improved a bit

2.) If you know fitness areas in other 5-star hotels, this one only serves as an alibi

Incredibly long check-in, incorrect price information (asked reception for a room and was offered a higher price) when we pointed out that the price on their own website was cheaper, it worked after all... what now?

Safe not working
Hairdryer missing
Minibar broken (warm)
Shower gel dispenser was empty on the second day and was not refilled
24 euros a day for the hotel's own parking lot is actually crazy in this price range!!!
Unfortunately they are cutting corners at the expense of the guest.

Very friendly staff
Great breakfast
Very nice spa area

Beautiful hotel with terrible service.
The rooms are nice, spacious and clean.
The service is really disappointing.
Valet non-existent most of the time.
The check in was managed by incompetent people who were not welcoming at all.
Terrible restaurant.....
1 half board restaurant menu from the series it's either this or nothing.
The other restaurant no tables on any day.
The customer is not protected in the restaurant of a hotel where he spent 3000 euros for 2 rooms for two nights.
As far as I'm concerned I won't be coming back again.
Not recommended and truly disappointing. Ps I've been several times and the service is always worse.
Management to change.
In any case, no longer a problem for us.
We won't be returning.

A holiday for all the senses! We loved the kindness of the staff, the unforgettable charm of the house and the excellent vegetarian cuisine. Bravo to the kitchen of Seespitz!

Our dog was also very welcome. The suite was very clean and large. The breakfast buffet is gigantic - we have really visited many luxury hotels before, but this breakfast buffet has completely delighted us.

The Beach Club offers everything you could wish for - two things we would complain about;
1. Guests who do not have style (by the pool for hours on speaker watching TV shows...)
2. Upgrading to tablets (electronic ordering) on the deckchairs would eliminate the sometimes rather long waiting time for the service personnel.

But that in no way clouded our experience!
Our next stay will be booked soon - it was a dream!

The stay at Schlosshotel Velden was a dream and that from A to Z.
Upon arrival, the team immediately took care of me, the suitcases were immediately brought to the room and the reception took care of all my wishes.
Once in the room, a warm ambience with pure luxury awaited me, the room was just wow. The very comfortable bed and the rain shower were my personal highlight.

The SPA offers what you would expect from a SPA. Large pools, various saunas, a SPA bistrot, comfortable relaxation rooms and even a relaxation cinema.

What enhances the already beautiful hotel even more is the Beachclub and the Seespitz Restaurant.
At the Beachclub, guests are offered a large pool and access to the lake a few metres away.
In conclusion, I have to say that the Seespitz Restaurant is really top notch in terms of cuisine and service, I have rarely felt so well looked after and eaten so well.

Falkensteiner Schlosshotel you will see me again,
Thank you again for everything.

The staff are not only professional and friendly, but also give guests a warm, natural smile that is rare. The junior suite with marble bathroom and Italian designer furniture is in perfect condition. A huge breakfast buffet and exclusive à la carte dishes allow you to start the day in a relaxed manner. The tea is served in such a way that I can decide how long it takes to brew. The croissant is at least as good as the one at George V in Paris. Despite the cool autumn day, you can still visit the beach club. The staff also finds time for special requests. Practically all rooms have a wonderful view. I usually come here three times a year... and will continue to do so in the future.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 8 nights during September 2022.

The suite we initally was allocated was at the front of the hotel, overlooking the lake. Idyll view & fantastic room but we asked to be moved due to the unexpected noise from a local bar until the early hours. There also was quite a bit of noise around the road at the front of hotel. So, if you are looking for complete peace & quiet ask for a room away from the hotel front.
The Concierge (absolutely fantastic he was throughout our stay), sorted out the problem and we moved rooms for the rest of our stay. We had a fantastic suite allocated to us towards the back of the hotel property and this was much better situated. It was equipped with it's own sauna & whirlpool bath, which was fabulous and totally unexpected!
The spa is one of the most amazing facilities we have seen in any hotel in the world. The beach area, with a range of watersports on offer, was incredible. The treatments are first rate & the sauna overlooking the lake area is fantastic.
The food & service was also 5 star throughout our stay. The breakfast selection was absolutely amazing!

The hotel location is within 20 mins walk of a train station (train to Venice, as well as stations within Austria) and within 50 mins drive to Ljubljana, so is really well situated for visits to other Austrian towns, Italy & Slovenia. There are also very good shops & restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

This isn't a reflection on the hotel, but a key thing we didn't realise about this quiet, idyll and relaxing place on the Worthersee, was that at some points during the start of the low season (Sept) there are motorbike gatherings & car gatherings. During our stay, both a car & bike event were held in Velden, which is only a few hundred yards from the hotel. Whilst this might be a huge plus for some, the bikes generate large crowds & noise in the local area and would definitely influence the time of year we would stay if we visited the hotel in the future.
