Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The rooms are basic, but they do the job, as most of the time you won't be in them. They have a great laundry service which is located on the first floor of the hotel. They provide Mosquitoe nets for the beds, where it be in a double room or single room.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel as it's cheap and the staff there are amazing.

This is a great price. It is basically a bare bones hotel. Near the beach. If you want a room with an airconditioner, you have to go up to the third or fourth floor. The staff was nice. The food was good. The rooms were acceptable.

It is not a fancy boutique hotel, rather an acceptable place to spend the night,

Let me first of all say that you pay less than 30$ for a double B&B, so according to this you should judge the rooms. The rooms are very well maintained and clean (usually hard to find for that money). I think they also have dorms and different type of rooms, we stayed in the more expensive ones with A/C, sea view and TV. So this said, the rooms have A/C as well as a ceiling fan, mosquito net, bathroom with shower/toilet (although only cold water, but as it's so hot it doesn't matter), a desk for work, a wardrobe (which is rather useless as you probably won't stay longer than 1 night). The towels and linens are clean, the mattress quite ok, no power outages experienced (so that is great as well). The reception is really friendly, but the breakfast is not great - we just had coffee and then went for a bakery to get some cake.
You can walk by foot to the city center or just get a taxi.
For a cheap stay in Tanga, definitely my recommendation.
