Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've really enjoyed a couple of nights with our very friendly & helpful host Dale. Room was spacious, clean, quiet & a short walk to all Hanmer Springs has to offer.
Tariff is quite reasonable and rooms are at the rear of the property so vehicles are secure and there is little traffic noise.

We telephoned ahead about 8 pm en route from Queenstown. The proprietor offered to put on the heaters and lights, and leave the door open without asking for any identification, or credit card. It was a delightful spacious room, warm and the proprietor was so pleasant. We would recommend anyone to stay there. Great value for money.

The room was clean and quiet and the bed was enormous and very comfortable, with a friendly manager. It is a very good price for a resort town and is centrally located. The one downside is that it has very minimal kitchen facilities -- a mini fridge, microwave and a few cups is pretty much all. To wash up things you must use the bathroom sink. But, to be fair, its website tells you exactly what to expect. We just stayed for one night, so the facilities were adequate, but it would not suit us if we had been staying longer.

Stayed here a few night ago, had an amazing stay!!! Dale was so helpful, we weren’t arriving until 7:30pm so he left the room open for us, provided extra towels so we could visit the hot pools. We didn’t have to pay until the following morning as he wasn’t there when we arrived, so trusting to think he’d never seen us!! Thanks Dale it was very much appreciated! Accommodation is exceptionally clean, so central! Would definitely recommend a stay here!!

We spent here two nights, having booked due the good TA reviews. The location is excellent almost opposite the hot pools, and close to everything in town. Dale, the manager, let us chose between two rooms, and we liked the one we've got. Very spacious, and clean, fridge, tea/coffee facility, and microwave, which we didn't use. The king bed was super comfy and there are several blankets in case you get cold. But also heated blanket and efficient heater in the room and bathroom. The price was very reasonable and we would return for sure.

Units are spacious and clean but lack any type of style or modern comfort. They need a refresh including all furnishings, mattress and so on. Walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbours loud and clear.

Dale the host is lovely and so easy to deal with.

Showed up with no booking, was greeted by Dale, he’s the good bloke who owns and operates the place. Nothing was a bother, super friendly, really genuinely nice fella.

The room was well appointed, comfortable, BIG bed, king or bigger I’m guessing, looks about the same size as our super king at home.

Real milk in a bottle not stupid long life pod milk rubbish.

About 2 minute meander to the hot pools. Close to everything.

Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Thanks Dale, you’re a great host.

Managed to book a room for New Year’s Eve two days before. Perfect location opposite the pools. Clean, tidy and well maintained property. Easy and friendly check in. Everything was spot on. Perfect location to explore Hanmer Springs.

We spent a night here recently and were very impressed.

Spotless room and very spacious. Very nice and well kept garden areas.

Very friendly welcoming host who had good recommendations of various places nearby.

Very quiet and peaceful surroundings and only a short walk to pools, restaurants and shops.

Well priced I would highly recommend staying here and we definitely would if in the area again.
