We stopped in Hanmer Springs at the recommendation of friends - upon driving into the town I liked the look of the Inn and where it was situated (easy access for the bars and restaurants) The receptionist was extremely helpful and welcoming, and our room was immaculately clean. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed for our overnight stay. We both had a great nights sleep, and paid for the breakfast - it’s a continental one but we were supplied with fruit and yoghurt, 3 different cereal, orange juice, milk and 4 slices of bread for roasting with various jams etc. Towels for the Springs opposite the Inn were also provided, and we visited these after breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, and every member of staff was helpful - I would definately recommend this place to anyone wanting a clean comfortable place to rest their heads whilst in Hanmer Springs! Well done to all the staff xx

This is a great place to stay in Hanmer Springs and boy does it tick all the boxes, Close to the pools, provides pool towels, lovely clean rooms, It has a kitchen that guests can use which use to be a restaurant kitchen. It is stocked to the hilt with kitchenware and crockery so you can cook a storm if you want to. The Hosts are lovely and incredibly helpful. I would love to stay here in winter when its snowing and they have the fire going. This place will be my go to for all future trips to Hanmer Springs. Keep up the good work - 10/10

A great place to stay. The owners are very welcoming and the use of the kitchen, dinning and lounge area was a really nice touch. It was very nice to sit around the fire at the end of the day.
Rooms ticked every box, quiet and climate controlled, plus all the amenities you could want.
Would stay there again.

The room was clean, warm and quiet and had all the usual extras plus more (tea, coffee percolator, fridge, wine glasses even a corkscrew. The bathroom had bottles of shampoo, conditioner and bodywash and hairdryer. We were able to regulate heating which was great on frosty cold mornings. TV with sky and netflix. Kitchen where you could make meals with a great selection of everything you would need. Open fire was beautiful. Host friendly and informative.

A very last minute decision to come to Hanmer Springs, and we got so lucky to find accommodation at Drifters after seeing the good reviews. Adele was so welcoming, and as we were an hour early for check in she provided us with their complimentary towels to use at the springs, which was a lovely touch. The living area was huge and welcoming, with a fire, smart tv, lots of games and cute Christmas decorations. The kitchen was huge and had every amenity you could hope for. The bedroom was well equipped with aircon, smart tv, excellent shower pressure and a good hairdryer. The bed itself was massive and comfortable, and the location is the best in Hanmer. We’ll 100% be back! Thanks Adele and Andy

Absolutely loved our stay at Drifters Inn. The hosts are so lovely and the motel is beautiful and has so many great touches that sets it apart from other accommodation. It was perfect for our family of five and the location was amazing, we could walk to the pools and back in our swimwear and the motel providing pool towels was so handy. The views from our room were gorgeous too - won't stay anywhere else in Hanmer now!

Really friendly hotel in a great location in Hanmer, just opposite the pools. Rooms are really modern and clean. Air conditioning and a very quiet fridge to keep things cool. Rooms are very quiet, despite staying here over new year we weren't bothered by noise at any point. Beautiful communal kitchen for prepping food and ski lodge style lounge for relaxing in. Would highly recommend as great value for money accommodation. Would definitely stay again.

We’d stayed there a few years ago and it was quite lovely, so we booked again. We will stay there again, but probably request a room on the quiet side of the inn... as we know they don’t know who will be staying. By 10:30 pm it was quiet.
The facilities are top notch. Even though it’s winter with frosty air, enough to make your nose cold walking in the sunshine, the inn is warm and toasty. Granted, it's more toasty when they have the fire going, but pleasant none the less. The rooms are clean and tidy, with lots of extras that make me think they’ve really thought out what they’d like to see in room they’re staying in. They refurbished since we were last there and have thermostats in each room for the ducted heat and air conditioning. Unlimited wi-fi is also a plus.
The kitchen has everything you’d want. Lots of crockery, utensils, pots, pans, food processor, stick blender, coffee makers, toasters and even clean brushes, pot scrubbers and towels. Hopefully everyone using it cleans up after themselves. There’s BBQ grill outdoors for use.
We can tell that they take pride in their offering, and they have much to be proud of.

There are some good points to this place and a couple of downsides. The location is great, across the road for the pools and close to restaurants for dinner. The downsides - small room and no air con but a fan is provided although this doesn't cool, it just moves the air around but better than nothing. The spa bath is okay, we had a corner one big enough for 2 people. Windows can open but our room faced on to the carpark and as we had a ground floor room we weren't keen on keeping them open. Good points - king bed was comfy, Sky TV including Sky Sports so we could watch the Australian Open Tennis finals.(thank you). and a large TV. Wifi was solid and unlimited. Although the room was small they do have a communal kitchen area and lounge where people can prepare own meals and relax which does make up for such small rooms a bit. Our room did have a small table and 2 chairs and a small fridge with tea and coffee. We had a quiet room and did not hear any noise from rooms around us.

We stayed 2 nights in a Super King room which was very clean, tidy and quiet. The managers were very friendly and extremely helpful. Fantastic location and so close to some great restaurants and just across from the hot pools. It was an added bonus that they supplied towels for the hot pools. The large communal kitchen was fantastic, to have breakfast without having to find somewhere to go, it was well stocked with all cutlery, plates, glasses etc. Would certainly recommend and when we return to Hanmer Springs this will be our first option for accommodation.
