This site is in a good location with modern, up to date, bathrooms as well as separate toilets. The kitchen was small compared to other Top 10 sites we used. It was also very dark around the in the evening so take a torch.

Spent 4 nights here at a powered site in our van. It was a great stay. Kitchen and laundry avaliable for use. The bathrooms seemed new and very modern, dual shower head which is great if you have young kids who need supervised. The wood fired hot tub was my fav espicially later at night once its cooled down. They supply towels and water for it! Pizza is avaliable from reception to cook in the pizza oven. Absolute gem of a place, will love to come back ❤️

Great location. Very small lounge and kitchens with limited equipment - less than basic expectations, certainly not "Premium" standard. Great new bathrooms. Unsafe features for kids to be around, such as exposed, uncapped rusty steel posts used as tree stakes.
Great if you're in a campervan with your own kitchen and lounge. Avoid in busy season if you're in a tent due to limited facilities.

We wanted a quick get away from the city so wizzed up to Hanmer with the campervan, the park was quiet, clean and we were very impressed with the quality of the new bathrooms (it was nicer than home). The powered camp site each had their own water tap and the park is located next door to minigolf which was very handy. They were also accommodating with us travelling with our dog.

Unfortunately, we had a really terrible experience here because we were woken up at 7:15am with the sound of kids everywhere and cars rushing by. Kids were practically on top of our van as we were so close to the bouncy structure. It’s impossible to sleep in. The best part or the bathrooms, as they were quite clean, but the sound of all the kids riding their three wheelers around the dirt roads, bouncing on the huge inflatables, climbing around the playground structures, screaming by 7 AM was miserable. Plus, we were so close to the main road that the cars flying by so close to our parked car woke us up throughout the night. I could not believe that this top 10 holiday Park was so close to the main road! Possibly a nice place if you have young kids, but not so nice if you want to relax in the mornings and hear any sounds of nature.

Hi there, Thank you for your review, We are really sorry that your stay was not as pleasant as you expected. It is always our wish that our guests leave happy and refreshed after a pleasant nights sleep. We are however a family park that caters for many families with small children and being the busiest week of the year it is expected that many small children would be up and about at dawn. It is simply not possible to try to police children's noise at this time of day. The trade off of this, of course, is that we do not have guests making noise and partying into the night with music and loud voices etc... Easy and close walk to Hot Pools. Great Staff, Very Helpful. We had a Kitchen Cabin; big size, everything there that You would use for cooking etc with kids. Nice to have a wall/alcove separating the Adult bed from the Kids Bunks. Barista made Coffee's available at Reception , Pizza Ovens to use in the BBQ Area, Trampoline , Great Playground for Kids, Bikes to Hire which is Awesome as their are some really Great Bike Trails to take kids on; Lots of toilets/showers in communal areas, Traffic into and around the Top10 is "One Way" and really slow and safe if Kids are about scootering and playing . We went in the week between Boxing Day and New Years = Really Busy , but quiet at night, huge fun with all the kids making friends and hanging out in the Playground. Top10's never disappoint : )

We (husband and I) are travelling around the South Island in our motorhome. We stayed here one night and found it to be the best campground we have ever stayed at - in NZ or overseas. It is very well laid out with all roads, paths and some camper sites being sealed, not just gravelled. The facilities are fantastic - especially the new shower/ toilet block. Large, modern, individual unisex cubicles - not in a big open shower or toilet block. As much hot water as you want with no timer limit and plenty of room for towels, clothes etc without them getting wet. Glass doors on the showers not nasty plastic shower curtains. Just brilliant. Yes, its not cheap but it is well worth the money. We will definitely stay here again when in Hamner Springs.

Great location to town and pools/ spa very tidy bathrooms friendly staff. Nice and quiet. Nice laundry facilities washing and dryer very good quality getting mud out of clothes after mountain biking. Spa pools available to book

A beautifully laid out campground which was well maintained, new ensuite bathrooms were a great addition for couples and families alike plus having hot tubs to relax in at the end of the day was a real bonus. Top Tens are definitely more expensive than other campgrounds but they have a standard they have to meet to be in this group and this one at Hanmer Springs went way beyond. Book a site as they fill up very quickly and check if you have a dog.
