Detailed Reviews
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy comfortable clean compact cottage hiding away from the tourist bustle. We were greeted warmly and even offered the morning Press. The chalets are spaced well apart with private individual car parks. There's an easy 10minute walk to the Village and world class mineral baths. The Motel offers a peaceful break from city hum-drum.

Really comfortable beds in very cosy warm chalets. The host was great, heaters were on when we arrived and he very kindly agreed to change our dates when our plans changed . Great location, close to town but not too close

A perfectly presented & private unit with a beautiful view. It was close enough to walk into town (about 5min) but just far away enough to be peaceful & quiet. Great garden area and laundry facilities and a very clean unit.

This was our third stay in Chalet # 10. Another friendly welcome to a great accommodation. We enjoy staying here because it's just the right distance to the town center but feels like your in the country.
We arrived on a windy but sunny day, after a flight from Auckland and picking up our second car rental (Go Rentals, the best). It was nice to arrive to a place we knew, like coming home. Comfy bed, nice to sleep with the window open. My husband thanks you very much for the Sky Sports channel where he could watch the NFL while he was laid up from an injury. Great kitchen with all you need.Like being able to recycle outside our own place and the laundry and outdoor drying space is a nice amenity. Clean and cozy two nights stay thank you very much.

Our one bedroom chalet had most things you would require. Full cooking facilities including kettle, fridge, cooking hob, microwave + pans etc. Very quiet with chalets being well separated with outdoor seating. Could do with an upgrade though.
Free parking. 10 minute walk to the central village.

My wife and I decided to stay at this accommodation based on a random search online. We had no expectations but when we arrived we were captivated by the place. The birdsong is amazing. We were going to have dinner at a local place but we decided to use the bbq that came with the chalet because of how great we felt being at The Rocks.
The chalet is so private and spacious. The bed was great. We liked how they had everything necessary in the kitchen.
The attention to detail is inspiring. I have taken lots of photos including the 50m walk to a grotto to see glow worms. These will be shared with friends

I thought this chalet was really cosy, warm and had wonderful views. It was private and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. It was clean and although it only had basic amenities, there was generally everything we needed. There were books available to borrow and swap at the office and you can hire towels if you are going to the thermal pools. It’s about a 7 minute walk into town and close to everything you would need. I would stay there again.

Second time we have stayed at Chalets Motel. It’s unlike many other motels - you have a detached unit and green space and plants all around. The cabins are very well equipped, spotlessly clean and in excellent order. You can walk into Hanmer in 10 minutes or so. The owners are friendly and helpful.
Cannot recommend The Chalets highly enough. Would definitely stay there again.

We used The Chalets Motel as a base while we enjoyed the thermal spa. I’d say ‘motel’ is a misnomer. These are wonderful private cabins, indeed chalets. We had a comfortable bedroom,a bathroom of good size, a large sitting area with TV, and a good sized pretty well appointed kitchen. There are also chairs outside to enjoy the beautiful wooded setting. We really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of Hamner Springs town center, just a short drive away. After being on the road for a few weeks, we enjoyed making a home cooked meal. Wonderful experience.

Wow!! We absolutely adored the chalet we booked. We experienced fantastic service from Andrew & Vera. We arrived late in the evening to a gorgeously warm chalet (the heating had been turned on for our arrival ~ much appreciated on a cold night).
We enjoyed the spa with a drink while looking out at the native garden & night sky - magical
Well maintained chalets and gardens. We will definitely be repeat customers. Highly recommended
