Luxury, the best bed, beautiful bathroom with a great shower, wonderful breakfast, and the loveliest hosts! Robyn and Vince are fab, entertaining, charming and helpful. I was staying for a few nights for a nearby conference, and loved every moment. The room was superb, ample hanging and storage, really comfortable, with a sliding door opening to a pleasant outside sitting area. This bnb has everything going for it, and I highly recommend it. A mere 10-15 minutes from Cambridge, and the same to the conference venue. You do need a car though! There is no public transport to the location, as the other guests who were going to the same conference found out. Robyn kindly picked them up from Cambridge, and I was able to ferry them around for the rest of the time, as we were all going to the same places. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A lovely warm welcome from Vince & Robyn, the accommodation is indeed luxurious & has everything needed for a comfortable stay, but it’s the way the hosts make you feel like an honoured guest that is the main point of difference in this lovely home, nothing too much trouble from the moment you arrive, perfect hospitality. Room 10/10, area 10/10, breakfast is served in the host’s dining kitchen overlooking their beautiful garden, home made muesli, yogurt, & jams, fresh fruit & grain or sourdough breads, to eggs cooked your way & freshly made coffee, perfect. We highly recommend this B&B

Booked this BnB to break a long drive, and we were so glad we did. The well-appointed room was fabulous, very comfy bed, and all we needed. Hostess made us a very healthy excellent breakfast and was most accommodating. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Thanks Robyn!

We had a booking with these people and they have cancelled on us as they got a better deal so I would be very careful making a booking at this property We were booked for field days next year and have now left us with nowhere to go unless paying about four times the price

This is the message I sent to Sonja on Booking.com, dated 16th August 2021 ..... Sonja, Just to say, we all can make errors. Mine was in not being aware of the Mystery Creek field days for next year and therefore not closing the rooms for the stall holders that have faithfully booked with me during the last four years. I was therefore unable to take your booking for the Thursday night. I am sorry you are so angry. When I realized my mistake I immediately went on line to try find you a quality place nearby that would work for the 4 of you. Above the River Karapiro Bed and Breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. I would like to offer you a free nights accommodation on an alternate week should you wish to take me up on our offer. All the best Robyn

This accommodation is simply amazing. A huge surprise. Robyn is a great host. She is very friendly and she loves talking with her guests. She is helpful for planning activities in the area. She even provides some brochures. She really wants us to have a nice stay as in her house than in New Zealand.

The room was very clean and well set up with some lovely touches. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the hosts were very welcoming. The setting was beautiful. It was a short drive from Cambridge and some lovely restaurants. I would happily stay here again when I'm next in Cambridge.
