Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice off the beaten path spot still close enough to lots of the sights! The hosts were extremely accommodating! Our room included fresh fruit, eggs, milk, juice, Coffee and tea. The patio over looks the hills and a garden and has a yoga platform and a little reading shack that are a short hike from your door.

Perfect location, very tastefully decorated and squeaky clean. I feel so lucky to have found this listing. Amazing breakfast with super high quality ingredients, super comfortable bed, linens, landscape and spa jacuzzi with views. Hosts went above and beyond. Can’t recommend this place enough.

HIlltop Views is a spacious, clean, well equipped, nice decorated and perfect accomodation. It has a lovely big garden. It really feels like the perfect holiday setting. Not far from tourist attractions like Hobbiton and Watomo Caves e.o.
We loved it so much that we decided to come back after 3 weeks to stay again. Sharon is a very friendly lady. Thanks Sharon that you let us stay twice in your lovely accomodation.

About 15 minutes out of Cambridge, located atop a rural hillside. 2 units in a separate modern wood finished building. A rear patio overlooking a gorgeous panorama. Very spacious and clean. Friendly and helpful owners. A perfect location for some peaceful R&R.

This property is located just outside Cambridge on a hill top over looking the countryside. There are two self contained cottages away from the main house and both are beautifully decorated with simple, good quality furnishings and fittings. The bed is fantastic and the linens and towels all lovley and fresh and good quality. There is a small bush walk and the gardens are lovley, we lost count of the tui and birds we watched just sitting on the patio with a wine at sunset. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal. There was yummy home baked treats in the fridge and a simple vase of fresh roses on the table. This really is a wondeful, quiet, relaxing spot to stay and the hosts leave you to do your thing but are wonderfully gracious, we left with a pot of their honey :) . Excellent wifi speed too. I can't recommend this enough.

First time for me to go to New Zealand country side to look at farms and Fieldays. It was a surprise that there existed this kind of place. It was located really remote from the town and city centers. It was in the middle of the big farms. But keeping an open mind, we were at awe at what this place can offer, different from what we have where we come from. Nice views, clean skies. One should see the stars on the clear night! Plus the owners are really nice people, anyone would easily feel at home!

We had the most wonderful time staying here. The studio is planned and equipped for every comfort. The king bed is comfortable and you can watch the sun rise with a cuppa. (Then sit outside with a glass of wine in the evening and watch the sunset.) The landscaping is carefully designed for both the views (which somehow manage to be both stunning and restful) and privacy. The kitchen has every thing you need to make basic meals, or just picnic. Jan and Paul could not possibly be more welcoming or more attentive to your comfort and interests. Jan lent us her map book to the area, and also left us a stack of bird books when she discovered we are birders. It is a bit away from Cambridge, but the drive is beautiful and it is less than 20 minutes. Also, it is an easy drive to Sanctuary Mountain.

We have stayed at Hilltop Views many times.. We first went when our son was rowing for his school at Karapiro and stayed for each regatta. We now stay as our place in NZ where we can truly relax and enjoy the abundance of Native Birds and Trees.
The hosts couldn't be more helpful or friendly.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and the food is fantastic

If you want to completely spoil yourselves with the best all round B & B this is the place to go.
We've been there a few times and find it such a quiet haven of rest that one might want to keep this place a best kept secret but the owners are quite happy for me to review it. The extensive views from this hilltop are special and their own surrounding garden winds down little staircases to a peaceful viewing platform. The outdoors hot spa pool set amongst bush is an added bonus to your stay and great after a hard day of bush walking. The quality of the furnishings throughout and comfort of the big bed are the best and the couple who own the place are most obliging and super friendly.
