Wow, what an awesome two nights we had at this beautiful venue and great hosts. We managed to stay in two rooms (just to try each) and loved them both. Not just a classy touch with the detail such as the fruit and condiments but also it's homely attraction. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities including the spa and sauna. Top rating five star despite the bad weather. Just meant we were able to enjoy the facilities more. Well done Andy and Robyn ... we look forward to coming back The Henry's

Property's Favourite Review
Stayed here for two amazing nights in a very comfortable and well-appointed accommodation called the North stable. Fantastic hosts who looked after us and were more than happy to advise us of local activities. We did the glow worm kayak tour on the Waikato River, absolutely wonderful experience and would strongly recommend. The Huntington Stable is a first class establishment to stay and I will definitely be returning to enjoy the comfort and ambiance of a real gem in the Waikato. G Pearce

We spent two nights at Huntington stables, and I wish I was still there ! The accomodation is top notch, with a taste of home. We arrived In a storm , to find the heat pump going , snacks in the fridge ,and the spa and sauna ready. Our hosts arranged a kayak trip for us, and made sure we were warm and comfortable when we returned late at night. I highly recommend staying ( more than once!), you will honestly never want to go home! The Waikato should be proud having this type of accomodation. Well done Robyn and Andy for providing a very special place to unwind and feel like a queen ! Nicole.

I have visited this retreat once before in January and was blown away by the nature and beauty of the surroundings This time was different (season wise) and the feeling was exactly the same, although we didn’t have the warmer temperature to dive into the pool we enjoyed beautiful food and drink in a warm toasty room awaiting our arrival We had our kind hosts Robyn and Andy arrange the kayak and glow worms experience which was a definate highlight to our weekend and not far from the retreat. When we returned we enjoyed a hot cuppa and hot spa. I would thoroughly recommend Huntington Stables anytime of the year to stay, it won’t disappoint. We love Ollie the cockatiel too 🤩

My only regret about staying here is that I only had one night. I didn't get the opportunity to make use of the many luxury facilities but it was a lovely stay nevertheless. I opted for the Stalls which was very comfortable and clean, I enjoyed the finishing touches like the lavender toiletries, colouring book, and home grown mandarins. What really stood out was the gracious way in which Robyn was willing to help me when I was having car trouble. Highly recommend. I very much hope to return.

Due to changing hospital appointments we had several changes to booking days. Our host, Robyn was very accommodating to our situation. Very lovely accommodation, superb surroundings and great attention to detail. Every aspect is geared towards relaxation and style.

Went there yesterday and had an absolutely fantastic time, the place is spotlessly clean with everything you would need, we opted for the 2.5 hr private session but there is plenty of room for more than two people, our hosts made themselves readily available if we needed anything ( which we didn't as it was so well done) the platter was just right . We didn't stay the night but the room we did see was a 5 star rating, it'd be a perfect weekend getaway if you wanted just to relax unwind and get away from it all, Cambridge town is only a 5 min drive away, I believe there is a shuttle service into town if you wanted to go for an evening meal ( please check with hosts) all in all a great place to visit and I'm sure we'll be back again

We were welcomed by Robyn and Andy who made sure we were settled then showed us around the property. I personally was quite taken with the natural beauty hidden in the garden with ornaments art and designs some handcrafted by Robyn. The Avery appealed as it holds a story with each bird being rescued. This is hidden at the back of the property so if you don’t particularly like birds there are many other hidden treasures to find. In the middle of the property and right outside the stables accomodation is a very generous sized pool which we spent a lot of time in. It’s an oasis with a shade house overlooking the pool with a sauna and spa also close by. Another feature of the pool was the coloured lights which looked superb at night. The rooms were tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and a shower with excellent pressure. The claw bath also another feature. The kitchen was fully equipped catering all our cooking need’s. I would recommend this stay and claim it to be the best accomodation and helpful and generous hospitality I’ve had. I look forward to staying here again especially seeing it was literally 5 minutes drive to town. Robyn and Andy were exceptional hosts and I also recommend you look in the gift shop you will not leave empty handed.
