I had two units to accommodate myself and my teenage son and a separate unit for an elderly relative. The TV volume would not go past 20 as it was pre-set. This made it impossible to be used by my elderly relative. The owners spent ages trying to find out how to change the setting. Eventually they got on the phone to the people they were rending the TV from and got instructions on how to change it which was good of them to make that effort.

The unit my elderly relative was in had a walk in shower with a fold down seat which made it extra safe.

Considering there was road works right outside the unit the double glazed windows kept almost all of the sound out.

Overall a very good motel and the attentive friendly owners never showed any annoyance at the many requests for assistance that they got. I really appreciated their patience.

The pillows are a little large and solid. If you are a pillow fuss pot like I am you should bring your own favourite pillow if possible.

Modern, comfy bed, fluffy white towels but there were a few let downs. The shower needs some cleaning attention, the plastic strip on the glass door was green! Needs removing and a good clean. The Jasmine everywhere many look and smell nice to some, but not good for those with allergies or asthma, and the biggest let down was there was not seating outside the unit to be able to enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine. Not really worth the money they are asking for a studio unit with a basic kitchenette, more like what you would pay for a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen with out door seating

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Jelly Road Lodge which was conveniently located near Cambridge. There was free parking and laundry facilities. The room was spacious and tidy with good sky TV. The laundromat was very good and took thirty minutes to wash at $2 per wash and drying machines which must be set at high temp and need a couple of 20 minute spins to get clothes dry. The shower facilities was good too. It is a very good location if you wish to break up the drinking from Auckland to Rotorua.

We had a trip to Auckland from Whitianga and decided to return via Cambridge to check and clean the headstones of my wife’s Mother and Great Grandparents and as we had run out of daylight we stayed in Cambridge.

This motel is relatively new and decor is modern.

Very clean, double glazed windows makes them very quiet.

Spacious with large double bed.

Heat pump and air conditioning.

Kitchenette, dishwasher etc.

Good bathroom and shower.

Good unlimited WiFi, Tv has Sky TV.

Good parking.

Only disappointment was there was no electric blanket and it was an exceptionally cold night so the heat pump went all night.

Was slightly surprised on booking via their website that you needed to pay a 50% deposit and on first passing, we wondered if it would be noisy being near a main road. But once we were in the room we realised we'd found a great place to stay.

The place looks brand new, with everything in immaculate condition and cleaned to perfection. There was no noise from the road at all. We loved how comfy the bed was plus the great sheets. If we ever build a new house, we'd model the bathroom on the one we saw here, it was just about perfect.

There was a slight disappointment with the free internet which had a relatively small data limit which soon ran out leaving just expensive paid options, compounded by the mobile data signal being pretty poor.

However we'd stay here again without hesitation.

We checked into Kelly Rd on the afternoon of ex Cyclone Gabrielle & it was a perfect shelter from the storm. A wonderful friendly greeting was made even better with the offer to extend our stay if the weather saw it necessary. The studio room was spacious, very clean & well equipped with a small kitchenette. The building is quite new so it shut up tight against the overnight storm but it would be wonderfully ventilated on a milder day whilst still staying private. I highly recommend this property, it was just overnight for us but we look forward to returning to explore picturesque Cambridge another time.

Ate an evening meal and it was awful. Got refunded the total meal price.
Room was cold and asked for extra blankets and these were provided with no problem.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
I use different Travelodge's in the country and this left me less than impressed.

Book directly with them, with zero hassle and a small discount... so a bonus.
It is located a minute of the State Highway One overpass and the same amount of time to the town center.

Their amenities were 5 star; clean & spacious bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and after hours access was 100%.

We would 100% stay here again.

Excellent host and nothing was any trouble. The unit was really spacious and there was a large amount of thought with regards to what was available in the unit. Well worth the price and if the need arises will not hesitate to book here again. Clean and very tidy too. Thanks 😃

After my 3rd stay, I think that I have seen enough for an honest review.

A warm and friendly check in. Enough free parking on site. A modern, clean and comfortable place to stay. A small kitchen with cooking facilities if required. Nespresso coffee supplied as well.

The location is handy to access Cambridge township and also a short drive to the Freeway to get to Hamilton.

It is also right next door to a very good cafe.

Highly recommended.
